Serious issue with bst deal

Recommended Posts

Hi guys ,So I sell a polo jacket and a Nike shirt and the wombats at my local post office mix up the labels so the guys received the wrong items .One of the guys has been awesome he sent it out to the guy and I reimbursed him postage .The other guy asked what need to be done and I told him he said ok and I haven't heard from him for over a week he now has both the jacket and the shirt and won't respond to any my messages and I know he has read everyone of them .so basically he just stole a shirt right ?

And invite him to this thread. Maybe he's waiting for you to send him PayPal to ship or something. Who knows. He just needs better communication to help you fix your botched shipping.

This may be a bit crazy, but bear with me for a minute:

You have both of their addresses correct?

Why not just create the shipping label yourself and send it to the guy to slap on the package? It accomplishes a couple of things:

1. You have the tracking number from the start, so you will know 100% whether it has been shipped out or not. This circumvents you having to do the age-old dance from hell:

"Hey, did you send it?"

"Yeah, sent it out this morning"

"Cool. Can I get the tracking number?"

"Sure, I left it at home so I'll send it to you later"

........... The next day.........

"Can I get the tracking info?"

*crickets*

........... Next week..........

"I never got the package, did you actually send it? Please send the tracking info"

"Sorry, I misplaced the receipt from the post office. Not sure what happened to the package. I'll try and go in to find out soon."

.......... Three weeks later.........

"You're never going to send it, are you?"

"What are you talking about? USPS says it was delivered"

"Show me the tracking info"

"I lost it again. If it didn't arrive, then you have to file a claim with USPS"

"But I can't do that without the tracking info"

*crickets*

"You're never going to ship this, are you?"

"You just figured that out now?"

2. The guy doesn't have the excuse for not shipping due to uncertainty whether you will reimburse him for the cost of shipping if he were to purchase the label himself.

3. If tracking shows that it hasn't been received by USPS within the first 7 days, you can simply void the label. Then you will not be out any money for the label, and the angry mob will have enough evidence to prove the guy was trying to keep both items for himself and skewer him appropriately. And that might serve as enough evidence for the mods to step in and suspend/ban him.

At least that's how I would handle things ;)

Enough with the pleasantries...Should be a new rule...If you have to post up an issue with BST/Trade and "X" numbers of days have passed......wait for it....wait for it....

We don't need to go back and forth making excuses, being wishy washy, looking for support etc. Unless you don't have a computer or smart phone 99.9% of the time theres no excuse for any of the gripes in every one of these threads!

OP, several people have said it. Why haven't you opted to post his ID in this thread?

It's a win - win for you:

1. If he does not intend to reply it will force his hand because suddenly he will be in a position of being held accountable not only by the members but also by admin who may well ban him if he does not do the right thing.

2. If he does end up replying he comes off as being honest and no harm - no foul.

Post his name. And send him another PM letting him know that the whole story is out and you would love to invite him into the thread that is now about him to allow him the opportunity to explain his side of things.

If you don't post his name here it begs the question of why you would not? If you drive the getaway car you will still end up handcuffed when you get caught. (Analogy implying there is a certain measure of guilt by association if you opt not to "out him" because there isn't really any reason not to)

In the future usps click and ship. This keeps the wombats out of it

This, hard to believe anyone would do otherwise

I would if I had a computer

I probably would have lost a bet if someone had challenged me that anyone on this website doesn't have access to the internet. (FYI, it doesn't take a computer to ship via USPS.)

p.s- it's 2017, you can buy a computer for less than a new 3 wood. Or, maybe that's what you were selling you stuff to buy?

Ok before you start judging I live in a tiny town in Pennsylvania and we have one internet company that is almost as slow as dial up I could buy a computer no problem but there's no point .

Look. You have his name and address and I guarantee there are people on this site that live within minutes of him.

Get a member or two to pay him a little visit. Say "hi" for you. Get my drift....if he lives near Columbus I'll volunteer for you.

thank you finally someone that actually understands instead of making it out it's my fault the member stole a shirt because I don't have a computer .
