Ecco Cool GTX

Has anyone seen or tried these? I just received a video link about these today. Look interesting but I couldn't find any reviews yet. I am a big fan of the Biom 2 GTX and these look like they would be lighter. And they have a 3 year waterproof warranty, but are pricey ($279).

I haven't BUT I'm a huge fan of them, if I were to get them they'd be the black with the yellow and white bottoms....and yes they are pricey plus I just blew 200 on white TW17's!

I just received a pair of Cage pro boas today. Thinking of getting the non-golf version of the Cool shoes.

Have them, love them. Best golf shoes ever made hands down. Can't recommend these enough!!

Gore Tex surround is incredible technology. Completely water proof and insanely breathable. Kudos to Ecco on this show.

I tried these on the other day. The fit (shape, volume, length) is spot on, as always with Ecco. However, a big BUT, the 'cool' system is basically a plastic grid to enable the air flow....so when you walk in the shoe, it's hard as a rock since there's minimal cushioning between your foot and the plastic beneath it....

i feel they really got it wrong with this one unfortunately... I can't imagine walking 18 in these....yikes...

Just ordered a pair, will let people know thoughts.

I went to get the red white and blue ones at pga ss. some dirtbag switched out a $159 pair and put it in the cool box. Nice little 120 discount and I got bupkus

Just received White w/ black ones. Haven't wore on course yet, but shoes are typical Ecco comfort, and the leather on these is really nice. Look better in person than in pics. Only concern is how these will wear and keep clean.

Wore these for first 18 today, amazing comfort straight out of box. Love the shoes, still concerned on how these white/black ones will wear/show dirt though.

Spikes have a very shallow socket that they screw in to... I lost one spike in round one, replaced it, and lost two more in round two.

May be sending back to Ecco if problem persists.

how high do these shoes sit? I am interested in purchasing a pair and am curious on the height. Currently I have the original DNA's, the footjoy freestyle, and the biom hybrid 2. Does anyone know if these are closer to the height of the DNA or if they are lower to the ground like the freestyles/biom hybrids. It appears they sit pretty high, which drives me nuts on my DNA's

They sit similar to the Biom spiked models, if that helps. Have some biom hydromaxes that are similar.

I haven't been able to play spikeless to this point because of how low to the ground they feel, so may just be my preference, although I'm toying with getting some FJ Pro SL's or some of the Ecco Cage Pro Boa's to give spikeless another whirl.

I lose one spike from the same spot about every other round. The inside ball of my left foot. Have it pop out once in a while during round and have been noticing it and popping it back in.

I will likely be sending them back, which stinks, because everything else about the shoes is really nice. Locker room shoe guy says he thinks it's a defect in the tread of all of these shoes.

Seeing this makes me wonder if thread lock would work. It might be worth a try.

In easy terms it's like a glue to keep screws from vibrating loose. Still undoable if undone with a screwdriver or the like.

I use this stuff in the UK.

Any more reviews on the spikes and how they have held up?

Just scored a pair of the red,white and blue from Marshall's for $40 bucks. I already play with the Bioms as my main pair so these should be a great alternative.
