I can take or leave Crossfield, his brand of humour lacks humour, Shiels was my favourite Golg vlogger but I over the last couple of months, I've kinda gone off his content as well.

I'm sure I am in the minority given that he has just gone beyond 200,000 subscribers but the big thing that got me into watching both him and Finch were the Quest for the Open videos. Rick doesn't seem to bother touching upon that now and Finch still titles his vlogs as Quest for the Open but now actually calling it a "Quest" seems a little generous.

I've gone off all of them for one reason or another.

Crossfield seems borderline narcissistic these days, only surrounds himself with people he can put down and beat at golf and generally can't enter into a reasonable debate on anything - and relies on his Youtube sheep to drown out any negativity in the comments section.

Shiels is just a bit simple. I've met him briefly and he seems a nice guy, but there isn't a lot between the ears.

I know this thread didn't include him to start but he's been brought up in this thread and is almost in the same Youtube ballpark - Finch. He was for the longest time the most sensible (and I'd argue the best golfer as well) but of late he just seems to have verbal diarrhoea. He just won't shut up anymore.

I used to like all 3 but have slowly found myself watching less and less of them starting with Crossfield first.

I love Crossfield because he's actually trying to dispel a lot of the rubbish TGC/Sky Sports churn out.

Shiels and Finch I can't stand, Shiels tries too hard and Finch is just so disingenuous I can't watch.

Crossfield and the original gang made golf "fun" for a lot of people and his simple ideas have given hope to some fairy terrible golfers.

I'd love to have him in the commentary booth at some point as on Twitter he's very critical about what's being said and I'd be interested to see how he'd cover some of shots.

What's hilarious is people were ragging on MC for being a tool or not funny, etc etc, but now guys like Peter Finch and Rick are now doing all this "on course testing" and vlogging. which MC has now been doing for a while.

I've personally stopped watching almost all "data driven" reviews from the typical guys and focused solely on Mark's on course reviews. It's so enlightening to see how little difference there truly is between different makes of the same club once you get on course, and that now a days the real differences come in price point, looks, feel and sound. Of course a custom fit shaft makes a difference, but these guys chasing 2 extra yards or 300 RPM on their driver are wasting their time. Gotta give it up to MC on this one.

I'd take Peter Finch over the other two any day of the week. His vlogs offer more in terms of technical stuff like what he's trying to do from swing changes to course management etc.

He has a couple really great vlogs on his practice sessions, and how he thinks his way around the course.

I played with Andy from Me & My Golf on Monday at The Grove at a Golf Monthly/Taylormade day, and he hits a very good ball. Made 4 birdies in 9 holes but probably would have only shot level as he lost a couple of balls off the tee. He hits a very good ball and his short game is top notch. If he played a bit more I reckon he could be very good. As a comparison, Jordan Smith and Guido Migliozzi played in the groups in front of us. Smith shot level with 1 birdie, Guido -1 with 2.

Enjoy MC's style a bit more than RS or PF. They all have their place, which is obvious when looking at viewship. I find PF gets a bit "wordy" at times, rambling on how "wonderful" his life has become. I do enjoy at times his sense of humor, which he may want to incorporate more within his vlogs.

RS has his moments, but find his content a bit self centered. A little thin skinned when stewing over a missed shot during vlogs. Has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, not entirely bad, but comes across a bit childish when reacting to negativity.

All three have branched out to capture certain segments of viewership..... and rightfully so.

Shiels success has gone to his head. Finch has a beautiful swing, but is a virtue signalling SJW.

I thought it was so funny last year when Andy Carter destroyed Shiels in Open Qualifying.

I really like Mark Crossfield. His game is very consistent, and his vlogs are entertaining and funny with Coach. He could be a really good golfer if he played more and worked on his short game.

I think the new wave with these guys seems to be heading toward "pro vlogs" where they get tour guys and gays on the channel to just chat, or to play a casual round with. I think the views on the RS & Danny Whillett vids were some of his highest. Don't think MC has gotten many rounds in with guys like that? Also, as sexist as it may sound, whoever can get the most vlogs with the more attractive female LPGA players is going to see a big spike in views and subs. I don't even like RS vlogs that much, but I sure as hell liked watching Carly kick his a** (and she's easy on the eyes to boot).

Indoor data sessions are out, on course reviews and playing vlogs are in.

I think they are both very entertaining. Better in small and infrequent doses (moderation is a good thing).

I like Rick's current teaching lessons. They are good, simple and easy to pass along to budding golfers.

One comment above said Pro's don't have handicaps. I regularly play with 4 or 5 Pro's and we bet and they all have handicaps (usually plus).

Really enjoy all the videos including Crossfield, Shiels, Finch, Ryan, Newton, and Me and My Golf (and a few others if I'm totally honest). They've all become pretty successful and have changed a bit but overall they are really fun to watch. Like Crossfield's latest vlog series with him and his kids, lots of funny stuff and great lessons - somethign really different in his teaching methods beyond the normal teaching. He really sees through the bs in a lot of other videos and presents a very simple method to his teaching. And Coach Lockey is pretty funny too on the travel vlogs. Enjoy watching them all.

People always ragging on MC but he seems to be just trying to make golf fun, whats wrong with that?

There's plenty of other "serious" golf content out there if that's what you want,

Rick Shiels and finch i just find really boring, they seem to just copy MC but make it to serious

Crossfield started using protracer, use of the drone and on course testing first.

Shiels and Finch both copied him.

They're not scratch - pros don't carry a handicap like amateurs do. I know what you mean though, there's probably as big of a gap between me and crossfield as there is between crossfield and DJ.

They can carry HC even by being a pro.

He's just posted Vlogs with Lee Westwood and Andy Sullivan.

I prefer his content to RS and PF, I use to enjoy watching the club reviews with the mid handicapper but they just got ridiculous and over opinionated.

Andy Carter, Matt Fryer, Steve Buzza, Teeuplotv and Golf Vlogs UK (not sure how non Brits will take the last two) are all good viewing.
