US Open coverage by FOX

What are people's thoughts on FOXs coverage? As of right now, the information they give is always at the wrong time and its overall just seems like amateurs trying to cover the sport.

I think it's great...very much from a player's perspective. Faxon, in particular, is excellent. He, Azinger and Strange work really well together.

What I watched in terms of play by play announcing was pretty terrible.

Notwithstanding the tracker, seems like Fox is having problems finding the ball. Player hits a shot and camera shows us an area where the ball might be, but there's no ball. They then switch to another player with no explanation of what happened to the last shot.

Faxon is a good commentator but he talks and all I hear is Ray Romano

Best of any of the networks. Wish they could replace and send CBS packing.

Any coverage that doesn't have Faldo and Chamblee has to be an improvement.

Anyone have any issue with the fact that Xander shot six under and they only showed him once Rory Jason we're done?

Generally, it's pretty good, but how do you fail to pick up coverage on Adam Hadwin's round after he sinks three or four straight birdies? Are the Fox producers tone deaf, ignorant or just plain stupid?

Faldo is miles better than anyone on Fox. Give me Faldo and Nance in the tower at 18, Feherty on course and Finchy thrown in somewhere along with Peter Kostis, and I'm a happy man.

Sorry, but an unknown playing well doesn't move the needle nearly as much as a well known playing poorly.

Some people watch golf just to be 'outraged'. Then they just have to share it with the world.

Forgot to mention, I love their use of pro tracer. The other networks could benefit from copying their approach. Being able to see where the ball is going is so nice. And I love how they occasionally point out how far it is to fairway bunkers, etc. Very cool.

I wish they had the scores of the current featured group. I have no idea how JR, JD, and Rory are doing. Also why not show distances for their 2nd and 3rd shots. Aside from that, everything is great. It does seem like they weren't able to get some of DJ's shots yesterday via their shot tracker.

It was like this when they took over coverage at Chambers Bay.

People said to cut them some slack, that it would get better.

Just saw it too. Total BS and wasted minutes.

I love it - the Pro Tracer that shows the flight of the ball and hole on the right side of the screen (vs. just the flight from behind the player) should be standard in all golf broadcasts. I also like that it's a little more like the coverage of the European Tour in that it's pretty much just golf (Holly Sonders in studio, aside) and they don't get hung up on human interest pieces.

Too much make up, too much hair, dressed like a whore and standing like she is chained to that one spot so she doesn't miss her mark.
