Looked like a TM Tour Spider just like half the tour.

It's not. We have Butch on commentary in U.K. He says Ernie showed it to him and it stands up by itself? Any ideas?

No the putter Matt Every used was called "The black swan" i know because we still have like 10 of them in inventory at my club. Needless to say they aren't selling very well ?

Yes, I'm almost sure that as long as you don't have assistance lining up the putt (i.e. Your caddy crouching on your intended line saying "a little more left") it's legal. There's an Instagram vid floating around of a web.com tour player doing it in competition.

Also, I'm pretty/very sure Dave Billings (MACHINE Putters) is consulting on this project and doing all the machine work for them.

Being South African by birth, I'm a big Ernie fan, but personally don't agree with such an alignment feature on a putter, what's next? You can stand your driver up on the tee box?

Lol, standing the driver up doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but doing it with a putter seems a bit iffy.

In Ernie's defense, I never saw him line up a putt only to go leave his putter there and backup to check is aim.

Also, my friends dad had a putter you could do that with in the early 90s. Guess it's an old concept some are still waiting to cash in on.

Was it a Mizuno Topaz?

Don't remember who made it, just remember it was huge and able to stand on its own. My friend and I were about ten years old at that time, and already back then we thought he was lame for using it.

Incorrect. As long as he/she doesn't touch the line or place a mark it's perfectly within the rules.

Thx. Appreciate the clarification. On the other point, its confirmed that these bloodlines are being machined by Dave Billings (MACHINE Putters) at his shop in McKinney, TX. So I suppose I was 1 for 2 on the previous post.
