What putter do you use and love? and why?

What putter do you use and love? have you found that great feeling, looking putter that you never want to change? I play a Cameron and i do not LOVE it because of the weight, but I also have an Odyssey versa which is great. I am still searching for the putter that feels perfect in my hands like my old TP Mills which I gave away many years ago......

What is your favorite and why?

Seemore M1 and I do love it. Alignment is automatic and I love the weight for my tempo with the putter.

I feel like I always put a good roll on it. Always trying something different but nothing outperforms the seemore.

ive always wanted to try the Seemore putter. How is the feel? with my Cameron, its almost too heavy and i feel like i need to hit it easier so i don't blow it past the hole

I putt really well with the my Newport 2 Select. I almost never 3-putt and keeping it aligned is not difficult for me. I also really like the Anser 2 Milled, but it is a little light for my putting stroke. The feel from milled steel is not beatable.

I have had many putters over the years, from Scotty Cameron to SeeMore...I was fitted by Callaway for an Odyssey V-Line Tour putter and have not looked back ever since, it work amazingly for me, demoed the newer versions of almost every putter out there, eventhough they are great putters, the V-Line just feels and performs great...

The correct answer!

I was fitted into my Edel in 2009 I think. used to go through putters constantly before that. this thing is awesome. its perfect for me. The entire thing (fitting and the putter) was $375 and it has simple, clean custom engraving and its a tank.

Its been in the bag eight years. Nothing else can come close to that. When it went in, i was a 15. It works just as well as a 1 cap.

Doesn't have to be Edel, but get fit. My experience with Edel was extremely positive. The fitting took almost four hours. They literally fit every single aspect of the putter, including little things like shaft weight, grip, stamping (could see it on a computer), shaft angle into head, where shaft enters head, lie angle, weight, loft. It was cool and this thing rolls like a dream.

The best part is that my set up is extremely repetitive because the putter is dead flat when my eyes are one inch inside and behind the ball. It just slides into place like a store-bought putter never did.

Its at 74.5* lie, 36". I have changed grips in and out though, as the one i picked during my winter fitting gets slick during the summer months.

I agree with this. I have so much more confidence putting with my Edel because i know it was fit for me. I don't miss much within 6 feet any more.

Scotty Cameron 35" TeI3 Newport that I use now is my favorite. The reason I love this putter is it has great lines and looks as good as you can make a putter look.

that is the exact scotty putter I have and the weight is all wrong for me. I got such a good deal on it, i bought it without trying it. I always wanted a scotty but this one does not work for me.

Scotty Cameron Futura X

I absolutely love it. The high MOI helps keep the putter online even when my stroke gets a little wonkey. I also like weight adjustability which this putter has in spades. I think high MOI mallet style putters plus an oversized square style grip are ideal for those who use claw like stroke.

I have 3 putters in the arsenal, let me try to explain...

Old Trusty (as I call it) is a Peerless Softlink with the A head and 3 neck (from memory). I bought this sometime between 1997 - 99, I've searched for a spare sporadically through the years and finally found the exact match, keep this in the vault just in case something ever happens to it. I know there is a few different configurations because the first replacement I bought has a different head. The head is Nickel (I'm guessing from its appearance) and is very very soft, I'm beyond careful with it but it has two noticeable nicks, one was on it in the store when I bought it and I think I may have gotten a discount because of it.

Ping Anser, older model (late 60's or early 70's) with sound slot, bought in the late 2000's. Picked this up because the Peerless is basically a copy, and wanted a classic Ping. Gets put in the bag sporadically but can't kick out Old Trusty.

Ping 1-A, also an older model at least pre-1980, bought in the early 2010's. Love the sound "ping", weight and sole of this putter. Has had the most bag time after Old Trusty. When I'm playing the parks and rec course that has notoriously shaggy greens this is usually in the bag. The sole is also perfect for hitting from the fringe or even rough around the greens, the middle of the sole is the lowest, and is rounded so it won't catch. My golfing buddy hates the sound, which is another reason to keep in the bag.

Using the 1-A occasionally really helps my stroke. The face is in front of the center shafted shaft, and making the switch to the Peerless makes me continue my stroke through the ball because the shaft is ahead of the face on the Peerless.

I had and lost one of my all-time favorites - a Ping G2 Anser C. That thing was perfectly balanced for me back when I playing a lot more golf, and had a better stroke. Loved how it looked.

I now use an Odyssey Versa V-Line. There are better looking putters out there, but the look is the only thing that puts me off about it - it lines up great, has good feel, good weighting, and puts a great roll on the ball. I keep trying other putters, and this one beats everything out there for me. I may put a weighted grip on it though.

The cheapest putter I ever bought.

A Wilson staff 8882, modelled on the 8802 but slightly larger.

Just feels right in the hand, make plenty of putts and have full confidence in the putter.

If I miss I know it was me

In the mid 90's I was really struggling on the greens, and of course, being a teenager, it couldn't possibly have been my fault, so I was trying new putters every month - I couldn't miss just after swapping, then 2 weeks later 3 putting was a specialty.

On a whim, I decided to try a Yonex 8802 copy with a polished chrome head and a graphite shaft. I was told that if I was struggling with an Anser or Zebra I stood no chance with the blade.

Turns out it was the best decision I ever made, I started dipping below 36 putts regularly, and my long putting went to a completely different level. The feel was just totally unlike anything I'd ever used - it was like putting directly with my hands.

20 years later and it is still in the bag. Many putters have come and gone since, but nine have kicked the 90's copy of a 60's design out. The chrome is a massive pain in the arse when it's sunny (hence trying other putters), and it isn't great on bumpy greens, but if I had 1 putt to win £1 million, I'd want the Yonex.

Not claiming it's going to be a lifelong relationship with my Sigma Ketsch B, but I did go to Golf Galaxy yesterday and didn't even wander into the putter department. Not sure that's ever happened before.
