Itsy Bitsy Spider Limited VS Spider Tour Platinum

Are these putters the exact same as each other except for the grip, the colour of the head and the colour of the shaft. As far as I can see, they have the same headweight, shaft bend, loft angle, lie angle and everything else the same.

i think the difference is in the neck of putter, but if not i'd like to know as well

I couldn't say for definite but the salesman who I know well in a local golf store told me that there are the exact same except for the differences you already pointed out.

I trust this guy as he's often told me that expensive equipment that I have my eye on in the store is nothing special and not to bother purchasing it.

He also echoes what I think as I feel that the JD and DJ Spider Tours that have the flow neck are a bit odd but the face-balanced Spider Platinum is a solid putter.

Thanks but you're comparing all of the Spider Tours there. I'm only interested in the Tour Platinum against the Itsy Bitsy Spider Limited that came out last year.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider Limited isn't made anymore but there are a few knocking about in new condition.

Sounds like some people are confusing the JD/DJ tour putters with the limited. The limited and tour platinum are the same except for paint. They both have a double bend shaft and sight line. The loft, lie, headweight, and insert are the same as well.

Cheers. I think the Itsy Bitsy is nicer but since they're not made anymore, they're harder to come by and in turn, much more expensive.

One of the local golf shops in my area have the Spider Platinum down to €180. I think I'll go ahead with the purchase and get a paintfill if it ends up feeling good enough to knock my Odyssey Works 2-Ball out of the bag.
