Thomas is going for the "No Laying Up" sarcastic response. Another popular Twitter account that Thomas frequently interacts with. The tone is meant to be taken as a joke with almost over the top punchlines on purpose.

It's no-win for pros. These idiots are just looking for a response, ANY response and they win, because he goes and tells his friends he got Thomas to respond. No one knows this guy or cares who he is, but he got people to wonder if Thomas is good or bad by "calling" him out. It's not like anyone is going to care about this guy mouthing off on twitter, except in rare cases like that Poulter situation a year ago when he got a guy fired from his job (THAT was hilarious)

Nothing against JT here but I hate it when some athlete responds with some lameish comeback to some Internet comment and all over bleacher report or other similar sites you see headlines like "JT owns twitter troll!" Or "JT just broke the internet!"

He didn't own anybody, and his response isn't clever or funny, it's the equivalent of "no! YOU shut up!"

I have to agree with this.

Thank God I don't do anything that would make me have to numb my brain with Twitter..... It seems like a cesspool of attention freaks that act like a-holes.

good for JT - buck trolls. ppl think they're invisible on social media hacking at celebrities and athletes thinking no one will see it.

Agree it's a no win for pros, and it's got to be difficult to ignore it all the time as these clowns try to get a reaction constantly. As a buddy of mine once said: Don't argue with idiots. They bring you down to their level, then crush you with experience.

Yes. Bubba's a bigger d-bag.

Social media is an interesting place. For sports stars like Justin Thomas it represents a lot of opportunity to build your fan base and connect with fans... and also poses a lot of risk.

This seemed like an attempt at humor. I'd rather have sports stars that take some risks and engage with golf fans rather than those who ignore everyone and everything and isolate themselves from the "normal" world.

He looks like the preppy bad guy in an 80's teen movie.

Also looks like he stole webb Simpsons old clothes.

Might be a great guy, just gives off a bad vibe on tv.

If these celebs spent all their time addressing trolls and hecklers, they'd have a life time's worth of tweets to send. I don't know why they bother.
