Taylormade SuperDeep 6.5, Anyone still using one?

Anyone still using one of these or have possession of one?

I have an 8.5° head that I try every now and then. Still hit it pretty decent and it is long as well.

Never tried any of the most recent shafts because I can't be bothered changing the adapter but I have often wondered how I would get on with a CK Pro white or T1100 in it.

I really like the look of this club.

I've always wanted a 6.5 and never been able to hit one or find one. Interested to hear if it's worth hunting for.

Check with Pat Dempsey. If I remember right from the LD days, I think he was hitting those for a while and likely still has some with dust on them.

I picked up a used one at Golf Galaxy the other day for $70. It is in great shape. It has the Aldila Proto By-You shaft in it. I'd never hit it when it originally came out and hit it on the range today for the 1st time against my M2 D-Type. I swear I hit the Super Deep just as long and consistently straighter? I wish I could put the Rogue shaft from my D-Type into the Super Deep to try!

Old post but I have some information regarding Superdeep. I have owned 3 of them and destroyed them all. I never found a long drive 6.5 degree version, but I had all of my 8.5 degree heads turned down a degree with the hosel adjustment. First head lasted 2 years and was awesome, retired it after I noticed it was cracked in 5 places. Second head, the face dented near the toe right away, third head same thing. They don't play the same after that happens, ball speed dropped considerably as did consistency. I have had a hard time finding replacement 8.5 degree heads for reasonable cost so I have since moved on to Krank for durabilty reasons. The formula 6 is just as low spin, compact looking, deep face and more durable for me.

That's what happens when the face cracks. They get hotter and hotter then bam, fail.

Still looking to pick up as many of these as we can. Please let me know if anyone will part with one.

Any luck finding a source for these? I’ve been looking around but haven’t had any success.
