Golfballselector.com Results + Wind

Please help me with my ball choice for this season.

I've been playing Bstone e5/e5+'s for the most part, but played a round with a found V1x on Friday and really enjoyed the performance. I like the e5+ because of the price and the performance around the green, but I'm getting too much sidespin and not enough distance with the driver. Plus I don't think it does well in the wind.

My curiosity lead me to the services of golfballselector.com to see what they suggest. I chose the unlimited fitting option and just about every way I answer the questions I get these results:

1. 2007 Nike One Platinum
2. 2006 Srixon AD-333
3. 2006 Taylormade TP Red
4. 2006 Srixon Z-URS
5. 2007 Bridgestone Tour B330s

In my area it is very windy in the spring/summer in the afternoons when I get to play. I would really like to start playing the same ball in all conditions if possible, but at the very least I need a good wind ball with some spin around the green. Which of the above do you think is the right way to go?

For reduced spin off the driver, the One Platinum and TP Red are great. Of the two I'd rate the Platinum as best for resistance to side winds.

For me the AD333 gave way too much side-spin.

Best pemium balls that I've tried for resistance to side wind are the Wilson Staff. Also extremely good for reduced side-spin - second only to the Platinum for me. The odd looking flat dimples really seem to work. I found the PX3 a bit odd (rubbery) to putt with.

I have had nothing but good things to say about the B330S in all conditions. Callaway Hex is best in the wind IMO....coming from Ireland where it always windy...however, I don;t care for it any other time.

I know it's not on your list but as already mentioned the Callaway Hex is a solid wind cheater.

I have also heard a lot of good things about the TM TP Red w/LDP. I had a chance to play some proto balls at the end of last year and I really liked this ball (My ball of choice for last year was the V1x)! The LDP technology seems to really fight the wind and keeps the ball in the air a long time, yet it doesn't seem to balloon at all.
