Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select

The Scotty Cameron Studio Select family of precision milled 303 Stainless Steel Newport-style putters features bold red tour graphics, an improved high toe profile, and heel & toe circular sole weights that allow for multiple length options in each model.

The circular heel-toe weights provide increased stability by reducing head rotation on off-center impacts for a larger sweet spot. The factory adjustable weights are set to provide the proper headweight-to-shaft length combination, but can be customized to make the head feel heavier to suit specific putting green conditions.

The improved high toe profile of Studio Select helps eliminate the tendency to raise the toe at address thereby causing the player to aim left of target. Studio Select also features a stepless shaft for a clean look at address and soft but solid feel, as well as a new red Cameron cord grip.

The new studio select has wonderful feel. This is slightly heavier than older models (10 grams) and looks and feels great. I hated the insert in the studio style...junk imo. This putter feels similar to the studio stainless but the excess weight is nice. This is my favorite OEM putter Titleist has ever produced. The only downfall is the UGLY HEADCOVER.

Just picked mine up today, 1.5 model, from my pro and of course they had topdressed the practice green right before I got there. So only thing I got to roll it on was my carpet so far and man is this thing sweet.

I had a studio style newport 1.5 with the insert I didn't like the insert at all. Took it out of my bad after 10 rounds and put my old two ball back in. But now with this in my bag I will be keeping it in there for a while.

bought mine today after putting dismally for 3 months with a Scotty Red X2. decided to pick this one up. aesthetically, it might be one of the nicest looking putters on the market, maybe rivalling the black oxide finish of the new Ping Redwoods. But the headcover, I'll admit is a very dull color. Only got to use it on the basement floor, but it feels great. much better that the studio style

I just picked mine up a week ago. Two outings and I absolutely love it! The visual appeal is quite nice, and the feel is by far the smoothest I've ever experienced. Putting is one of my stronger points, yet I have extremely high standards for the flat stick. This putter looks to meet them. I felt completely confident over every putt I faced, and made a few that I honestly was not expecting to. It just has such a smooth, consistent feel with every strike. Between this and my new Driver, along with getting my irons reshafted, I am setting some very high standards for myself this year. I really think this putter may be the last one I ever buy.

flyhighandlong the 1.5 has a bit more toe hang than the plumbers neck which means it has more toe flow during the stroke. As for the line it is a very solid putter but the 350g just does not quite feel like 350 to me but my other 350g putter may be heavier than 350g.

Great flatstick, as I play the newport 2.6 in 35 inches The grip is the best putter grip ever.

Who cares about the look of the silver headcover. It is still an AM&E Titleist Cameron

cover. Not ugly, just loud and kind of NASA.

The putter bright on a clear sunny day. Even the satin silver finish will

blind you at times. Not as bad as a black rainbow Scotty, but can still be an

issue, epecially in sunny climates.

Definitely a good putter and it rivaled my BC-1 for a couple rounds, but the BC-1 won out. The weight is nice and I do think it's the best Scotty OEM yet. Was using the Newport, 35" @ 340 grams.

The glare problem is a real problem - I know that sounds like nitpicking but his thing flares like the sun itself at the right angle. It actually hurts.

The grip is the best Scotty grip ever by far.

I really wanted to like this putter but it just didn't do it for me. In my hands it felt solid but it did not translate to putts made. Tried both the Newport and the Newport 2 Mid Slant and could not get it done with either. I went back to my trusty Studio Style Newport with the GSS insert and immediately got my mojo back on the greens. This also could be that i'm use to this putter but nontheless I don't believe you should have growing pains with a putter, infact the right putter should be evident to you right away.

I think my main problem with this new line is the added weight. For me the extra 10g took the magic away. I believe it was enough to make me lose that element of finess and feel needed to make a run at any putt.

I do believe this putter is definetly worth checking out, it is a Scotty Cameron afterall and for you it may be just what you're looking for, just didn't fly with me.. although I do see I'm not alone. A bit puzzled why Scotty elected to start the headweight at 340g instead of 330g and then work up from there? I'm sure he has his reason.

Just got one as a gift - Newport II 34" 350g. My first cameron. I have been putting for the past few years with a Kevin Burns 9320 (basically a newport II with no insert) that had a glare resistant finish on it. I liked the KB a lot, but I tended to get yippy with shorter putts sometimes. The heavier weight of the SC seems to have helped with shorter to intermediate puts, without being too heavy to really affect lag putting. So far it is a winner, but I am nervous about all the comments about glare...I haven't had a problem with that yet, but since my old putter had like a matte gray finish on it, I am nervous this will bother me if I start to experience it.

I picked up a Mid Slant the other day and it feels great. However, the glare at 12 noon was no joke. I had sunglasses on as well. So I'm sending off to be oxidized-what the heck.

Great feel though, and it inspires a lot of confidence for me in the red zone. It took just a few puts to dial it in.

Other than the glare I'd say it was just about perfect for me. Oh, I like the feel of the grip too but I ended up swaping it out with a black one. Just wasn't use to looking down at a red grip....

After playing with it a few more times, I do really like the feel of this putter. The glare sucks, but it isn't unbearable. I will keep an eye out in the flatsticks forum to see if anyone refinishes theirs and how it turned out.

I pretty much agree 100% with this post. I've rolled quite a few Camerons and I like the feel of this one the best. I've found distance control for me is very good.

The glare isn't unberarable but can be bad at the right angles.
