Edel Wedges Arrive

Just received my Edel Wedges, 55 and 60 driver grind. Match my Edel iron specs. +1 lie and KBS Tour 90s shafts. Orange and black (Oklahoma State) and my sons names engraved. 5 year old on the sand wedge and twin 3 year olds on the lob wedge. I'm blown away, these look and feel amazing!

Nice looking wedge! I have a 56 and 60 on their way, both driver grinds with Nippon 125 shaft in them. Can't wait to get them!

Yes, first set of the wedges. Play Edel variable length Forged irons which I LOVE. 50 degree is amazing.

Just got back from the range and spent a long time chipping. Loving these wedges. Soooo easy. Almost stupid easy. These are going to be in the bag a long long time. I have some almost brand new MD3 W grinds 50, 54 and 58 that will be taking a permenant rest in the closet or will be sold/traded. I like the MD3...but the Edels out class them by a mile. I'm blown away by the performance.

I just ordered a 51 and 55, pretty excited for the box to arrive in a couple weeks

These are gorgeous. I love the way the spell out the loft, adds a nice touch.

You can choose either numeric or written lofts. It was a nice touch and surprise on the 55 where they engraved fifty 5. That is a cool touch!

Also, hard to see but the face of the wedges have been milled with a texture.

Don't know what ball you play but when I play the Edels with Chrome Soft X the spin and stopping power is excellent. I am even backing the ball up

Mostly play Chrome Soft. I play several different balls today. They all had plenty of spin. I will check out the Chrome Soft X again. Thanks for the tip!

Had a pretty good round today. 81. Lots of great wedge shots and a few bad ones. Bad ones were simply not used to distance control on pitches. Out of the sand the ball just explodes. It flew the green. It was easy out I've ever had. Going to take some adjustments but they are really good. Will be in the bag a long time.

Well...reviving my old thread. Had my Edels reshafted about a month ago with s200. I had not been playing with them since I switched irons. Recently went back to Mizuno MP-32 s300 @d4 sw. Light weight shaft experiments are over lol.

Tonight I decided to round out my set of Edel wedges.

Ordered 46 and 50 DVR with s200. Same colords with with OKState and Cowboys engraved. Shoot out to my almater. Excited to pair 46 and 50 with my Mizuno mp-32. Not 100% on s200 in the 46 wedge. Gonna give it a go, might end up reheating to s300 in the 46

I've been playing a trapper 55* and a pincher 59* for a few months. So versatile!

I had a set and let them go when my short game was going through some things. I miss them. You will love the variation of shots you can get out of them, and they are very durable!

If I can ever commit to buying a golf club new, getting wedges & a putter from Edel would be my first move.

The putters do take about 3 weeks or so to adjust to not making compensations. The wedges - most people don't know how to chip or hit a short pitch - they use their arms too much and blade, fat or dig - instead of staying on their front leg, and turning their body. They blame the club and move on to the next club until they move on to the next club.

Waiting for my third, the 46. The other two are straight money. I've hit so many of those "wow" shots with them. Spinning back to the hole, completely dead in a bunker plugged, and somehow tap in pars with these things. Love is not a big enough word, for these.

I know they have a raw kinda look but do they rust?

Mine haven't rusted, but I feel like they should/could over time. But my clubs are kept clean and dry at my course. They hold up very well, barely look used after 6 months or so of use.

I am going to say no. I have had mine for a year, they have been wet many times without being wiped off. My Vokey looks like a 30 year old nail in a can of coke but the Edel's have no rust anywhere on them.

304-SS = no rust.

My new 46 and 50 shipped today. UPS is saying Saturday. Cant wait. Have them SW out to d4 with s200 shafts.

What kind of golf bag is that? Looks like the one that locks the clubs in place. Do you like it?
