Putter bought on the Bay

Mods- apologies if this is in the wrong place....

So here comes another ebay story lol. I rarely buy equipment off of ebay but found a legit scotty refinished by a reputable company with exactly the colors that I wanted. This is basically going to be my gamer that will be passed on to my son. To make a long story short I am saving probably around $100-$130 with my dream putter in my hands. So I win the bidding war and cant wait to get my putter by 8/31. So the item was paid for during the day 8/25 and seller messages me early 8/26 that it will be shipped today. Fast forward to 8/27 and shipping label is finally created. So no big deal, it will be shipped Mon 8/28 priority and should have it by Thursday. Still no tracking updates as of yesterday so I message the seller (has 100% feedback over 300) asking if the putter will arrive by 8/31 since I have to leave town on Friday. No response and no tracking update. Last thing I want to deal with is a putter unknowingly sitting on my doorstep in plain view. Am I starting to slightly panic for no reason? I don't know why but have a weird gut feeling something isn't right. I have dealt with shipping delays and other issues before but this seems to have me twisted for some odd reason....... TIA for any input

Take it for what it is, the whole southern part of the country is shutdown due to the hurricane and shipping times can be affected in other parts due to it. Shipping an item isn't as cut and dry as it seems, sometimes there are delays and it's something you'll just have to accept.

Word of advice...don't buy anything online if you absolutely need it by a certain day. That's when it will be a day late.

Given the craziness in Texas, its probably a crap shoot as to when it will arrive. If it has in fact been given to USPS, obviously a neighbor of yours can keep an eye out for it.

But try hard to get a hold of the seller this morning unless you've seen a tracking update. It's possible they haven't actually shipped it yet. I've seen sellers create mailing labels on time to get credit for meeting their promised shipping timeframes, but not actually put the items in the mail for days afterwards. If they still have the item in hand, you may have some options.

Didn't even think of the storm issues! Thank you for reminding me of that! If the seller didnt say it would be shipped on Saturday I would have told him to hold of if he could do to my travel over the weekend. I just don't believe the item has been shipped and very odd I havent had a response. Emergencies do happen so hopefully something didn't happen.

yea usually ebay sellers will ship the same or next day. anytime ive sold something i have gone out of my way, including leaving work early, to ship same day or next day. reviews are a sellers lifeline.

so i would say that given the sellers high rating there is probably something going on. where is the seller located?

If you know this to be true, then you you should relax. Where is the seller shipping from?

Take it to someone with a good vise and check all the specs when you get it.

Every set of clubs or putter I've bought have been bent to weird specs.

UPDATE: The putter made it to the PO yesterday and contact with seller has been made. It is being shipped from west coast but I am relieved that at least its on its way. Obviously with the situation in the south, delays could happen....
