What golf courses have you gotten to play?

Have you made it out to Kennemer Golf Club in Zandvoort or any of the other big name Dutch courses?

International is a great Course, but I prefer the Dutch . Also De Haagsche and Kennemer are great!

Well you were right! The international is indeed a great course, but not easy by any means. I also played The Rosendaelsche this last month and was really really impressed with the course. Wonderful course, and for me, more fun to play than the International. I'm playing The Dutch in two weeks time, so I hope your preferences are like mine, and I will love it as well.

There is also a new course in town (well not really in town, but in The Netherlands): Bernardus. I got the chance to play 2x10 holes there (the course wasn't fully open yet when I played there), and it has everything to become the leading golf course of The Netherlands. Great practice facilities: driving range on grass with pyramids of pro v1's, multiple practice greens for pitching, chipping and putting, a bar at the driving range with music, ... Wonderful clubhouse as well with an amazing restaurant. Quality of the food is extraordinary. Can't wait to go back once all 18 holes are open. Must-visit if you're ever in the neighbourhood. And not a private club, so you can just buy a day membership as a non-member (€150 or €175 I think).

If you like Rosendaelsche, you will love De Pan my favourite course in the Netherlands (designed by Harry S. Colt). Another similar course is Nunspeet lots of pine trees and tight fairways like Rosendael. And another one: Hoge Kleij. Maybe not of the same quality as De Pan or Nunspeet, but fun nonetheless. And in that same neighbourhood there is a new course that has just opened: The Links Valley, which is a nine holes reversable course. I played there today for the first time. Looks fun, but needs to grow a bit I think. fairways and greens were rock hard (if you hit a divot you'll see why, because the sandy soil is 50% rock) so approaching the green was sometimes a bit of a challenge (especially because the south course i played today has quite a couple of greens guarded by bunkers in front of the green, so letting the ball land in front of the green is not always an option).

Apart from the courses mentioned above you should definately visit Noordwijkse. My other favorite course in the Netherlands.

Can't comment on The Dutch or the International aas I have never played these courses. In general I am not a fan of the post 1980ies courses built in the Netherlands, although I should probably add that there are a couple of courses that have been built the past 5 years that I would probably like if i find the time to play them (Turfvaert, Stippelberg, Weleveld).
