Best putter if you aim too far left.

Anybody found a putter for someone who consistently aims and misses putts left?

Especially on shorter putts 5' and in? Im ready to try anything at this point.

If you're consistently pulling putts left, in all likelihood the lie angle is probably not right for you. The standard lie angle for my putter was 70* but a putter fitting showed that my set up was 2* toe down causing me to aim left. I got the lie angle adjusted from 70* to 72* and it has helped immensely. Plus it only cost 5 bucks to adjust. You should consider adjusting your current putter before you purchase a new one.

That is my miss, left. Got got a a few OEMs and they all suggested strong arc (#9,Tess/8802, Zing) type putters. More weight in the toe so not to close as fast to help with going 'straight'.

Depends on why you are missing left. As suggested, could be lie angle, but also could be alignment and/or stroke issue.

In my case, which was missing right, it was an alignment issue which was helped by adjusting my stance and head position (after trying about 50 different putters without success!).

Try moving the ball back in your stance. Or try changing your putter grip to something like left hand low.

Look into the the lie angle....and try a face balanced design, if you haven't already. Possibly a center shaft design as well

I'm not pulling them. I was on a SAM putt lab and my stroke was square to my face angle . I just seem to aim everything left

I had the exact same issue you are having. I've always thought I was a sbst stroke kind of guy. I would have left misses at least 4-5 times a round. I decided to go get fitted and see what's going on. And come to find out I have a arc in my stroke. I recently bought a new Ping Tyne with slight stroke and I haven't had left miss since. My specs for my putter is 34.75in, 72 degree lie, stock loft. I'm also playing around with the weight using lead tape on different parts of the putter. I would highly recommend you go get fitted. You would know what specs you need.

I'm definitely an arch stroke type putter. Does the tyne have alignment lines? . I'm starting to think alignment aids aren't my thing

I'm starting to think my ball position and the way a place my eyes over the ball might be the issue. I seem to want to turn my head left so Dominate eye is over the ball. I'm right eye dominant.

Quit trying to aim the putter head or putter face. Aim the shaft. When you grip the putter you know instinctively where the "front" of the shaft is. Aim that at your target and swing the shaft at your target. Assuming your grip is on straight, the putter face will always swing correctly if you swing the shaft correctly.

Once you try this, you'll either have a "bingo" moment... or it will be just another idea that doesn't work for you.

From everything I have read and experimented with Center shafted putters with 0 offset offer the best bet. The more rounded the shape the more you are likely to aim right. I have been putting with a Seemore and have drastically improved my putting. Although the Rifle Scope Technology isn't perfect it does seem to help me. One thing I talked about with the instructor who did my SAM lab was implementing a forward press before I start my stroke. That helps to open the face and aim the putter more right. I haven't implemented that because the change in putter style seems to have helped my aim bias.

I would take a serious look at the seemore stuff. If that doesn't suit you I would probably go with s Golo 5s or something similar.

Check lie angle.

Try a head shape that's easier to aim where you think you are aiming

Try heel shafted

Try no sightlines

Funny you should mention the center shafted putter. I was just at the PGA super store and the two putters that were the best for me aiming intuitively ( not adjustinh my aim left because I always miss right) was a SC futura center shaft and a Odyssey Oworks center shaft. I wonder if the key is the no hosel offset found in center shaft putters

Instead of guessing, see if you can get fit on SAM, by a person who actually knows about putting. Sometimes it's only a small fix that needs to be done and a lot of times an unbiased 3rd party who is also taking data on your putting stroke can lay it out straight for you.

For me I was pushing all my putts with a mallet. Turns out I was too flat of a lie and that I actually have a pretty big arc due to using a bit of core and chest in my stroke. Went into a blade, and after some adjustment, I'm sinking more putts now than ever.

I have a vision test for you to try; it'll sound odd, I realize.

Take four golf balls and line them up dead straight in two to three foot increments back from the hole or a fixed point. You can do this on a practice green with a chalk line, but you can use an indoor putting carpet just as well. It'll also work on a hardwood or tile floor, though not as well; too many lines. But you do need ONE line, both for the balls to sit on and for you to line up on.

So now that you've got the four balls lined up, set up SQUARE to the one farthest from the hole, which would be 10' or so from the hole. Don't look at the other balls or the hole; just set the putter square to the line, then set your feet and shoulders square to the line as well. When you KNOW that the putter and your body are dead square to the line, turn your head WITHOUT MOVING YOUR BODY and look down the line so that you can see all three of the other balls. Of course, all of the balls MAY look like what they are; in an absolute straight line. BUT if any of the balls appear to be to the left of the others when you are looking at all of them down the line, then you've got a vision issue and no putter in the world is going to change that; you'll have to go about it a different way.

This vision "error" is the reason that an estimated 60% of golfers can't use the line on the ball to putt; they line it up, then when they stand over the ball, the line appears to be tilted toward them AND aimed left. Honestly, I don't know if the others that can use the line don't have as much parallax error, or if they are better at compensating for it, but I do know that for most of us, the line is too distracting.

I know that sounds wacko, but give it a try and see what your results are.

I currently game the s5 and it is a phenomenal putter if, just like anything else, you put a good stroke on it. It's easy to line up for my eye and I have been way more accurate with it than any other putter I have tried. I love the look of the plumbers neck blades but I have to be realistic with my game, they just don't suit me.

For me, missing left is usually a sign I am getting too much of my right hand involved in the stroke instead of leading with the back of my left hand (top hand in my case) and my right hand causes a push left.

I also had this issue, pulling everything left including short putts. I found, the type of putter was my problem. I have close to a SBST stroke and using a blade with toe hang caused me to pull everything. This was because the toe would close on the putter, and at impact my alignment would be left of what I had originally thought. Switching to a face balanced putter solved my issues right from the start.

Instead of guessing, see if you can get fit on SAM, by a person who actually knows about putting. Sometimes it's only a small fix that needs to be done and a lot of times an unbiased 3rd party who is also taking data on your putting stroke can lay it out straight for you.

I was on a Sam putt lab. It showed I intuitively aimed left and I stroked it pretty square to my line. I can correct it by feel like I aiming right of the hole which the SAM confirmed but I never feel like Im aiming at the hole. Im guessing thats not the best way to putt

Ok i tried this and I saw all the balls in a line so thats encouraging. I checked my feet alignment by marking where my toes where then snapping a line and I was really close to parallel. Good news I guess

I was at PGA SS the other day and tried about 18 different putters. I found that the center shafted or putters with little to no offset seemed to work best. I was able to aim them a little more intuitively with out having to fidget it to accommodate my left miss and hole more 5 footers. Alignment lines didnt seem to matter as much.
