Spider tour red or scotty futura x

I have a choice dilemma, I owned a red spider tour for 4 months, loved it for ages, then lost my mojo and blamed the putter, so sold and bought a scotty m2, which I hated, but love the sound.

Anyway, I do miss the spider, and have since found my

Mojo whilst playing my friends black one, but a scotty futura x 2013 has come up, they're both priced the same at €200 second hand, I'm interested to play the scotty, but won't get a chance as it's far away and will have to have it posted.

Anyone any exp with the scotty futura x?

First of all, shout out to adverts. I'm from Cork and I've gotten 4 putters off adverts in the last year.

One thing you need to take into account is that the Spider Tour has 38* of toe hang which would suit a slight arc stroke.

The Futura is face-balanced which would suit a more straight back straight through stroke.

Have you been fitted to determine what stroke you have? Since you're on the fence about which one to go for, I would go for the one that suits your stroke path best.

I was on putt lab a while ago and it had my path straight on the target line, I wasn't told what stroke I had I just assumed from the diagram, strange coz I felt my stroke was arced! Yes adverts is fantastic for second hand gear!

Can you remember the amount of toe hang that it recommended for you? If you know, I can tell you if you have a straight or slight arc stroke.

Here's images of he session he never told me my stroke? I was using a odyssey #1 at the time but never liked it so change to a mallet

No worries, I don't think you have the page. Not to worry though. If you have a look at the first page, every putt except for you first one, your stroke path is very straight.

I would be 95% sure that you have a straight back through stroke. That would lead me to believe that the face-balanced Futura would suit you better.

As someone who owned both putters you mentioned, I'd go for the Taylormade. I prefer the look and feel of the Spider and seem to hole more putts with it.

I owned the Black Spider and still have the Futura. I sold the Spider because it never got along well with me.

The Futura is a solid putter that to me is much better than the newer versions because of the aluminum insert.

I putt left hand low and prefer a slight arc and the Futura still works fine for either a slight arc or SB/ST stroke.

Thanks guys much appreciated! I do prefer the look of the spider but I may try the futura since I haven't owned that one before!

Currently playing a Futura X with a Super Stroke Fatso 5 and have never putted better in my life. Had a hard time bagging the Futura because of the looks, but the results couldn't be denied.

I putted really well with the original Futura in high school and have been eyeballing the Futura X since it came out, just haven't managed to pull the trigger yet.

Ive had both and to this day the futura x has beat everything out of the bag one of Scotty’s best putters imo
