Byron Morgan is the best I have used. He gives so many options you basically design your putter. How can it get any better than that? Plus it is all done here in the USA in California. Unlike the big guys like Cameron or Bettinardi they are all basically hand finished, not sent out for that. I love the ability to get the exact head weight I want rather than settle for what is already made.

I like Byron Morgan's products but anymore he isn't truly custom or handmade. 99% of his stuff is CNC milled. Yes it's all made in the USA but unless you get a huge order your finishes etc are very limited to what you can order.

The last I checked if you use carbon steel you can only get 3 maybe 4 finishes unless it's a corporate order.

With someone like Lamont Mann or Lumpy aka Xenon you get a truly customized handmade putter any material or finish. Not to mention BM is double their cost for the same type of material.

I just ordered a 100% handmade GSS Element from Xenon for $369.00 ($457 if you consider the magnetic headcover, tool and ball marker, and handmade stainless shaft band) with a custom matte black shaft, tye dye finish, and any type of engraving/paintfill color, and hand milled face pattern I could think of.

The same GSS DH89 with limited finishes and a handmill from Byron would have cost $1100.

CNC just makes the specs better but Byron hand finishes all his putters. Putting down Byron Morgan does not make your choice look any better. I KNOW the quality of Byron's putters is great. I don't know what finished products from Xenon look like and wonder how he can be so cheap and make a good product. If he doesn't use CNC how does he mill each putter? FYI the DH89 starts at $500.00. Several putter makers all have told me 303 GASS is really no different than American 303 stainless. There are specifications on different grades of SS so 303 should be the same regardless of the country of origin.

2 things....1st, if you talk about any makers prices the thread will be deleted....it's happened in the past. I would advise deleting your pricing from your post.

2nd, the Element is CNC Milled....now maybe different with GSS or because of some other reason in your custom specs, but the Element is a CNC milled design. It will most likely be milled, then hand softened or whatever you want added to it.

Every maker you named puts out an awesome quality product. One is not 'better' than the next. Pick out one that makes a headshape you enjoy looking at, and they can all customize to your specs and desired details.

I love my Byron, Mann, Piretti's and Xenon's I have had in the past. They are all fantastic.

I'm in the process of ordering a new putter from TP Mills. Why did I choose them? Because I got started with some of their older pencil-shafted putters from the early 80's and became a fan. Like the previous post said, all of these are GREAT and fun to own. I'm sure prices vary, but I really didn't shop around.
