Juniors-What did you shoot Today?

well yesterday we had our 2nd round off pennent and i hit a 3 wood off every tee because i hadnt been hitting my driver very well at all. My match was going alrite until i lost 8 and 9 to be 2 down at the turn. started the back 9 well and won 10 but then lost 11 won 13 but then lost 14 15 to be down 3 with 3 to play. i par'd 16 which gave me the win and thn birdied 17. on 18 a 150m par 3 i put my tee shot on the green and he put his in the bunker so i had a shot. he put his shot on the green and 2 putted for bogey, so i had 2 putts for the win and send the match to 19 but what do i do i three putt for bogey to half the hole and loose the match 1 down :busted_cop: ;):cry:

Ive got tournaments all this summer won one last week.

I played a really nice course today in a tournament, course played really hard windy and lots of water on course I shot 82 and won for the second week in a row!

I struck the ball great but had 5 three puts :busted_cop: !

I played 9 holes today with my dad I shot 35 ! The best part my dad said If you birdie the last hole ill buy you that ping hoofer bag you've wanted I birdied now im getting a hoofer !!!!!!!!!!

Played terrible today lol. 30 stableford points :vava: ;) :ok: Hit the ball great off the tee all day but didnt hit my irons good at all and chipping and putting well.......lets not talk about that. :D :busted_cop:

Played Pennant today, had a win of 2&1 but couldve been 10 & 8 if I took my chances when I had them. Also had to give my oppenent 12 shots! :busted_cop:

played on saturday with weisy and had 37 stableford points with very strong winds around the back 9. could have been so much lower because i had nine 3 pointers but heaps off 1's aswell.

played our 4th round off pennant on saunday and played really well won 5 and 4 :busted_cop: which i was really happy about.

Im just starting to find my game after some very good sessions with my coach.

Well i dont know about you but as a junior golf the strength of my game is definately ball striking and not my short game but today for some reason today in a qualifier for a big tournament they changed roles. I looked like a hacker hitting the ball but a wizard around the greens. We played the course at around 6750 yards which isnt very long but it seemed like it today. I managed to hit ONLY 3 fairways and maybe at best a 250yd hook down from the normal 10-11 fairways and a distance averaging 305yds. I also only hit 7 GIR down from 14-16 GIR...This was the worst i have ever hit the ball especially after a great warmup session...(guess i wasted all the good ones) Well anyways i managed to get it up and down from everywhere to shoot an astonishing even par 72...BLEW MY SOCKS OFF ;) persistence is the KEY!!!!!!!! bc i cuda just :busted_cop: packed it in early

I'm pretty new to the game (a year/two and a half??? W/E) so I haven't played in tourneys except for those school leagues...

My record right now is a 39...but I played on a really tough course and shot a 41... (both on 9 holes...dunno bout 18 yet...somewhere in the 80-88 range)

I know I'm not the best (you guys would kick me...) but I'm getting better :busted_cop:

What a crap day i had today in your 5th round round of pennent.

i started well and was 2 up after 4 holes and was hitting it good but a couple of bad second shots and missed up and downs cost me 7,8 and 9 so i was 1 down at the turn ;) . Opened the back 9 great with 3 birdies and went 2 up :D but again the wheels fell off a little and i let him back into the game. On 15 i had a short putt for the win that just lipped out which left me one up with 3 to play.

The next 2 holes i couldnt belive on 16 a 165m par 3 we both came up short but i was just in the fringe and where he was 15m short. he stood up to his chip and strait bladed it into the up slope off the green and into the pin and then dropped for birdie :vava: i was in shock if that missed it was 20m over the back. On 17 which is a short 300m par 4 i decided to take it over the corner and try finish just short which i executed well, the bloke i was playing layed up and then missed the green short and right so i was thinking i hade a chance. After hitting a sh@t chip i walk on to the green still confident that i could win the hole but this bloke did the same thing bladed chip shot into the bank that hits the pin and drops :busted_cop:.

After all this i was so shocked i could only manage a bogey on the last to half the hole and lose the match one down.

i recently broke my right wrist i started playing one-handed i was starting to get pretty good so i played 9 holes and shot 47 with one par !

Played pennant yesterday and lost my first match in 6 games ;) I was trying to get to 10 in a row but oh well. Anyway I got my butt whooped :busted_cop: And our team only won 1 match all up. I didnt play very good coz I was swinging the club like a monkey between trees but I was 2 up at one stage. My oppenent just flushed it all day so I couldn't really help that.

Played our final round of pennant today and won 6 and 5. I flushed it form the get go except for a double on the 2nd hole :vava: On the front 9 I had 7 pars, 1 double, and 1 bogey. Then I pared the 10th, 3 putt bogey on 11, birdied 12 and birdied 13 to be only 3 over the card after 14 holes. Could have shot my lowest round if I chose to go on but I didnt.

played in the monthly medal event at my local club yesterday and played great. i made the turn at 4 over (which is good for me) and i missed at a putt about a foot long on 9 for par.

The back 9 was a little up and down but i played solid to have 43 and with double's on both par 3's.

finished with a 83 nett 67 which im happy about now the handicap id down to 14 so im getting there.

Went out with some of my buds on my golf team and took their money dropped a tidy lil 67 (-5) on them. :vava:

Shot 75 today dissapointing ...very dissapointing after birdiing the first 2 holes.....Ball striking went down the tubes...played 5 over par the rest of the way......ughhhhhh

Everything in my game has started to click this summer....especially the mental part"the most inportant" thanks to my dad for helping me learn to think my way around a golf course.....Unfortunatley Playing in the AJGA is pretty tough.....I am working on earning exemptons through qualifying.....unfortunately i still do get a little shaky in tournaments somthing that i am working very hard on tho..... ill keep everyone posted....I'm trying to qualify for another AJGA in 2 weeks.

i just played a quick 9 wednesday shooting +3 38 with only 4/9 greens hit and 3/7 fairways. but i had 14 putts including 4 1 putts. chipping was pretty good. my driver was great but i struggled with my 3-wood. although the one tee shot with my 3-wood had a bad hook i hit the green in two to 20 feet from the rough. overall the round was good.

If you only hit 3 fairways then obviously you didn't really hit your driver well.

I played today and shot 72 with 35 putts. I love when I have over 30 putts considering that is the strong part of my game. I don't hit it very far but I hit it straight and my iron play is good.

I need to start making putts. If I would have putted like usual yesterday, I would have shotten about 66.
