I started another thread about my first birdie and people stated they will start coming more often. Took me about 5 months for my first (with winter down time) and I finally got my second and third in just 10 holes!

I'm playing down in Tennessee for work. Got a full round in on Monday, didn't fare so well but it was fun. Actually had a nice chip in from 50' to make par on a par 5 that would have been a birdie if I didn't hit the water on my first shot to be hitting 3 on my second....

Well come yesterday a few of us go out around 5:30 to get as many holes in before dark. #2 par 3 I hit a great tee shot, dead at the pin and leave it 8' away. Drain a great putt with semi-difficult read!!! Woo! Birdie #2 in the books. Keep playing on, had a few ugly doubles and some nice bogeys and pars... The #10 was and uphill double dog leg par 5. Hit a not so good tee shot to the right near trees. Second shot I could either bump into the fairway to play it safe or aim between two trees to advance it further. I call a field goal and make it! 150 yards out and I go right again. Grab my 50 degree and from about 40-50 yards land one on the green that rolls right in the hole for a zero putt birdie!!! I got more excited than proper golf etiquette says I should but hey, that was awesome!

Didn't get any more holes in after that so I can't say what the round would have been, but it was still my best day out yet!!

I played terribly yesterday except for this hole. That's the first time I birdied that hole in probably 2 years. Perfect drive, perfect 5 wood, and 2 serviceable putts. (For reference I shot a 90, so this is great compared to the rest.)

I had four birdies on the front nine today (3 tap ins and a 6 footer). That's the brag part.

I shot one over for the nine. That's the not so braggy part!☹️

I beat a plus player and close friend straight up at Lake Nona a couple months back. Had one of those magical rounds and I nearly hole in one from 200 yards out. He didnt play bad. I just whooped him by a stroke. Played my hybrid and he hit his 5i.

Of course he was playing from 7300 and I was playing from 6800 but I will never let him live this one down for the rest of our lives.

After slogging through 18 drenched holes on Saturday following multiple inches of rain, my feet looked like a Sharpei.

    And that was an improvement.

When I am in trouble from deep, I can always count on my 3 wood. I have hit some miraculous long bombs with that bad boy, just the last weekend I hit my tee shot into the hazard, had 256 to the pin, hit my 3 wood to about 5 feet and the ball mark was right by the hole. I have done this a number of times over the last few months, hit a floater that doesnt go far off the tee only to bomb my 3 wood onto the green. Played in a scramble with some friends, we had 250 out from a tight lie in a ditch area, hit one perfectly between two traps and the ball mark was just a few feet left of the hole. I can buckle down and hit this club when I really need to. I never thought much of it, but my good playing partner brought it up this weekend that "dude guys have a tough time trying to hit a 3 wood off of a tee, and you just hit another one 250+ off the deck." Feels good.

Lost a couple of balls off the tee on the front 9 which was 8 over.

    So, 11 over total.

If it makes you feel any better, historically I have sucked so bad at chipping and putting I'm still only mid single digits with those numbers on 6300 kind of courses which is embarassing lol.. You would think having a 50 yard shot into every par 4 would make the game pretty easy but it truly hasn't..

Last 2-3 weeks I have finally decided to specifically practice chipping and putting for the first time in my life

about 3-4 years ago - it was a joke among my friends -- if i have a great range session, the round was doomed. if i had s words (won't say it) and couldn't put a good swing on it, i might shoot a personal best lol

PAR - always a good score.

I hit a 9 iron to 10" on the short (playing 140 to the front pin location into the wind) Par 3 13th at my home course this Saturday I've never been so close to a HIO before. The next day, the pin was in the middle with no wind and I flew the green with that same 9 iron.
