Is it just me

Is it just me or do others have the problem with no matter what putter you get your just not happy with it. I can test a putter and love it but in 2 weeks I can't stand it or i just look for a reason to get a new one. I want and need to find a putter I love the looks feel confident with and sink some damn putts with. I cannot match these 3 keys together.

I don’t share your experience but have a very similar one. I have a putter that I’m not happy with and try out new putters to replace it all of the time, yet none of those feel as good as what I’m gaming and I decide not to pull the trigger....

It probably feels just the same but might be a tad less expensive.

I have that problem but I have self diagnosed it to being a lack of practice for me. I can love the putter but if I don’t play or practice I lose feel with it and can’t get it back

To me its because you know there are better/nicer putters out there. For me my dream is a blacked out 009. No other putter will do, even similar looking ones, 006, DH89 etc

SO.... I bought a replica 009 as more of a test than anything else and I am draining everything :lol: been in the bag for a while too with no signs of moving.

Guilty for buying a replica, yes. Guilty that it feels so good? Nope.

I just buy putters! - and I love them all. :-)

I've always been guilty of this too. Sometimes a putter just gets stale/boring and I think something else is better.

It helps if I think of it this way... If I HAD to sink a putt, what putter would I use? That's the one to invest time in.

Get in the mindset that you can putt with anything. The ability to make putts lies within you, not the club.

Obviously, some clubs fit people better than others. But don't ever tell yourself you need a certain putter in order to make putts.

I rotate 2 or 3 different putters and make sure I'm indifferent about which one I pick on a given day. I have confidence I can make anything, regardless of the putter.

Every time I think I've found the perfect set up, I end up tweaking it somehow and finding a reason to justify a new putter. This time it's the Odyssey Lucky 777ch that I've used all year and had probably one of my best putting years to date. Well, I want a milled face. So I turn to Bettinardi and they're making me a Minovai Plumbers neck (same setup as the 777ch), and a fly milled face. I'll still find a reason to buy something else later, just the nature of the beast. I'm a putter whore, and a Bettinardi fanboy, the first step is admission....right??
