Anyone still gaming the OG RBZ 3 Wood?

Just curious if anyone is still gaming the original RBZ 3 wood and if you have any comparisons to current 3 woods. I got rid of mine and I think I want it back!

Still using it. It's just really, really good. There may be something better out there (if I were to look, I'd stay with TM, most likely), but this does everything I ask of it.

I have a rocketballz tour 3 wood that I still play from time to time. I benched it for an optiforce that I never see anyone use.

I picked up a double stamped tour issue RBZ 3 wood that had the smaller head and put it into play every now and then. It feels absolutely incredible and I swear I can feel the face flex at impact! The shape looks perfect at address, nice and compact, and it's huge off the tee. Trajectory off the ground is a little low but not unplayable. My only gripe is having to clean out the damn slot after every shot.

RBZ is phenomenal, just can be finicky off the ground, just modern shapes like the M2 Tour have been much more versatile for me.

Oh yes. I've got a tour issue (slightly smaller head) Tour 3W, with Diamana Kai'li shaft, and it just continues to work so well for me, I don't ever bother to try anything else.

I have two of these heads as well, a 14.3 and a 12.8. Very small profile with flatter lie Angeles and straighter leading edge. Extremely low spin heads if your a good striker these are as good as it gets distance wise. Ballspeed is really high with these heads and I ageee deel is awesome. Very pricey when they first came out and definatley not a high handicap unit.

There have been so many versions of RBZ's I don't know how to reply. I have this one, and I'm neutral on it - not bad or great. I'll be trading my RBZ Driver, 3 & 5 woods/metals this winter, dictated entirely by which driver I like best. I'll buy the matching 3 fairway wood. YMMV

I play one a gentleman gave me a couple years ago. I threw it in the corner and forgot about it. Didn't want to let go of the old Titleist 975's. Finally put a stiff shaft in the RBZ last year and haven't had a reason to shop for anything new.

I dropped the 3 wood for a M2 tour 2017. I have the 5 wood still and it is a rocket launcher. LOL

I carry the Tour 14 for "everything you got" shots, but could easily carry the RBZ HL3 as my only fairway wood.

Still see a lot of them in play down here.

I use an RBZ Tour 3 wood. Its great off the tee and one time I hit a perfect shot from the fairway with it. I haven't compared it to newer models, but I also don't see a reason to. I also have a 5 wood like the black one posted earlier in this thread. That's my go to club for par 5s and finding fairways.

I have the 3h Tour and it is a rocket. Not sure if it’ll leave my bag but I do have a wood/hybrid fitting upcoming so

I dropped my Callaway GBB 3W and went back to the RBZ. It's more consistent and longer. I guess that's 6 or 7 years with it. I can't remember when they first came out but I bought one after trying it at a demo day shortly after they were first released.

Lol I did the same thing but it was such a good club. But then you pick up any new TM wood and your like "oh, its exactly the same" that what I did last year

I hope it shows up tomorrow as expected.

After experimenting with a udi, I put my rbz 5w back in my bag and it will never leave again. There isn't a club in my bag I feel more confident with.

I'm here! Between the 5 wood and the MP H4 I don't know which I talk up more... Almost SLDR C worthy levels....

As BearQ mentioned, the OG tour 5 wood is my weapon of choice, no need for the 3, the 5 goes far enough, it feels great, its pretty forgiving, I can hit it out of pretty much any lie, off the box it's a monster and it's not leaving the bag any time soon.

That pretty much covers it.

Just pulled my 3HL out of the bag. Honestly its a rocket when I get a hold of it well, and its awesome off the tee. I just struggle with it off the fairway and had to go with something more compact (obviously user error, not the clubs fault). It's still lurking in the basement if I ever decide to throw it back in the bag

I was at Golf Town the other day and I guess they just re-released the RBZ? It's all blacked out, very cool.

I still game my OG rbz tour 3 wood, still has the factory stock shaft and grip. Best 3 wood I've ever had.

I still game a tour issued rbz 5wood and 3wood. Still monsters with great feel, these heads are a little smaller than retail though. I dont care for the feel of the multi material heads at all. 17 m1 I have feels clicky and plasticy.

Still use the 3, my safe club on tight fairway or short par 4 tee shots, and its a rocket. I've tried to replace it and haven't found anything that can. I'm not one to go looking at aftermarket upgrade shafts so I'm sure I could find a configuration that will beat it (possibly even a stock Rogue), but at what cost? Plus, it works for me and I can't put a price on confidence. Even started a thread last week about buying the same 5w and ended up pulling the trigger on one, to be delivered this week. I'm even considering buying up a few matrix ozik xcon 5 shafts that are out there as a backup.
