Echo the other comments and add that they're pretty extreme looking. Computer designed with crazy lumps, bumps, points, and cutouts.

I played them for about a year and had the Zing2 BeCu wedges. Those things were sweet.

I bought a set 2 years ago. It was soggy wintertime and I was having trouble hitting my regular irons.

Bought the set for $100.

Wearing bulky clothing and playing in 30 something degree weather is hard.

These made it a lot easier. Easy to get in the air and lots if carry.

Due to the lofts, they are a lot shorter than my reg clubs.

Mine have the stiff shaft. The shaft labels were red and blue. Red is the stiff version.

Someone had put new Winn Dri Tack grips on all of them.

The grips were worth $100.

They are huge and actually unforgiving. They have an off the charts amount of bounce. The toe is HUGE, and it delivers a "wonderful" snap hook effect as it digs or bounces or whatever it's doing. The lofts are weak compared to today's clubs. The Zing models and the G2 models were disaster clubs for Ping in my opinion. The Zing 2 irons will confound you and make you question your faith. Don't go there. You might as well grab a set of butter knives from the 70's.

Lee Westwood played ZING2 irons on TOUR for 12 years. Fun fact. I guess he was able to overcome the snap hooks, terrible bounce, weak lofts and managed to not question his faith. I find them to be so easy to hit solid, high and straight, it's almost like cheating.

Yep nothing wrong with the Zing 2's, I played a set I found at a garage sale in the early 2000's. After a couple of rounds I sold them however, and bought a set of i/3's from my buddy that I played until, I started playing Bridgestones.

On a side note I have a buddy that is still a + handicap and has two sets of the I-10's. One set has been retired, second set has been in play for about two years. He had been on the lookout for another set, but said that he has tried the i200 and i210 and thinks he will move to one of those in the next couple of years.

The only part of this post that is accurate is the part about the lofts being weaker than today's irons. That's true with any irons that are 20 years old.

Funny this topic came up.

Bought a set recently and did a mini "retro review" of them

Nice looking set, condition-wise. Very clean! I'm thinking of having my heads refurbished and then installing some Recoils. Thanks for the review!

I will add I picked up a rare-ish orange dot set last winter ... with JZ-s in them, 4-sw, added 1/2" to them for the 5-SW, tossed on iomic sticky 2.3's ... and really like them

They are a little more solid off the tee than off the turf as some have said in old posts

I've also picked up the S3 and LW in BeCu. The S3 is incredible from the sand and from inside 100 yards

These are great irons off of bermuda grass for us northerners that aren't used to it
