The Grint WebTour Season 2!

Hello All!

I had a great time putting this thing together with the help of Darth and Jacot. I think we had a lot of fun this year. For next year I want to basically do the same, but we will allow more people and hopefully if all goes smoothly then we can start to have a lot more fun with this thing that I have plans for when the time is right.

If you would like to be a part of this year's tour please send me a PM. Even if you were a part of it last year please do this. If I don't get a PM I am going to clear those who do not. Please include your First and Last name, Grint ID, and email you signed up for with the Grint. This will help us make sure the right person is added.

Here are the general guidelines for the Club and Events:

1. All members must be golfwrx members interested in fun monthly events to unite us across the the country.

2. Honesty on scoring is a must! We are depending on you to be honest, and for you to realize that you are not and never will be a professional golfer. We think you're cool though, which counts for something.

3. You may play from any tee you desire, but again, please be honest and choose the tee you normally would/should play.

4. Keep score to the best of your ability according to the rules of golf when posting your monthly event scores. This is for fun, but please no mulligans, try to putt everything out, etc.

5. You may use only one combined 9 hole scores for events. The other recorded round of the month must be 18. Again, be big boys and girls and do this with integrity. No reason to cheat the system.

6. Rounds must be elected event rounds before the round begins (via app. If you do not know how to choose this, please ask!). Do not quit tracking halfway through because you feel it's not going well.

7. Players need to track stats along the rounds through the app. Tie-breakers are dealt with stats such as putts, GIR, FIR, Grints, etc.

8. The chairman and vice chairman (DarthMaduro/CigarNate) have the right to put in place any new rule/regulation they see fit to keep the club happy and running smoothly.

9. There will be Two Events a month that are compiled of one round each. Season runs from March-October (16 total rounds). Events will start the first day of the month and run to the last day of the month. The highest 8 rounds will be dropped and lowest 8 rounds will be used for scoring. Scoring will be total score for the year.

10. If posting Event Rounds here with pictures/scores, please try to remember to state what event it is and which round (ie: March/Round 1)

To post combined 9 hole rounds.

1. Log onto the Grint online (not phone app)

2. Click scores tab/link up top

3. Click Add Score in the Top Right Corner

4. Click Combined 9 hole score option

5. Now choose courses and 9s you played for each score card

6. Be sure to click on Club event from the Drop down menu

7. Fill Out Score card with scores and stats

8. Click Club Tournament Score (above submit button)

9. Submit score

10. Upload Score cards pictures

Haha awesome! It gave that extra push to get the rounds in. Weather didn’t cooperate as much as hoped. But the wife gave me some golf time with the boys every week. Can’t wait until next year. Thanks again

PM Sent! Thanks for organizing this again this year. Had a blast last year, it got me out playing golf more, made each round more meaningful and made me concentrate harder and focus each round. And, as a result my game improved, I was able to meet my goals I set out for the beginning of the year, 15 hcp and match my career best (82).

If you feel like I haven't added you to the tour and you should be, please PM me. I have been having a few issues adding people on the website as of late and want to make sure everyone is in that needs/wants to be.

Also, please subscribe to this thread for the year as many of my updates come through this thread. Just do a weekly alert or something.

Great point! Our in-season posting doesn’t open until April 1 in WI. Will rounds posted as not counting towards handicap count for the tour? It’s unlikely that I’ll get out of state for rounds in March, but if the snowmelt cooperates, local rounds aren’t out of the question.

I haven’t actually thought of that before..... I’m assuming it shouldn’t matter, but if you start the round as an event round, please be sure to finish it as one.

By all means play it as an event if you’re able to :)

Realistically we aim for April 15th. Have been surprised before. Couple years ago in March I drove 5 hours south to play 18 and then drove back all in one day. Best decision made over beers haha.

My handicap is going to rise until it drops...4 weeks post op and I'm counting the days until I can play, sitting in my bed I had to buy a new putter and golf book. I never realized how addicted I am until it was taken away. Should be a fun season once again. If any of you make it to the Masters, hit me up for a meet and a brew.

It has been a rough winter for us too. I mean not as bad as most haha, but relative to the ones I have experienced here, it has been much colder and wetter. Hopefully doesn't mess up too many courses once spring rolls in

New guy here with the obligatory new guy question. So in March I can just play at my home course and as long as I designate as an "event" round I'm good to go?

Yes sir. Just make sure you start the round as an event round by clicking it in the menu before hitting play (same screen as the starting hole/tee selection menu)

Yes. I will make each event available the day or so before. Rarely I will do it after that month begins but I’m going for perfection in that aspect this year.
