Does anybody have any experience with this? Saw it on the golf channel last night and I'm curious.

First red flag - You saw it on golf channel on a night time infomercial.

2nd red flag - Their infomercial website.

3rd red flag - Buried in the text of the website they actually wrote the biggest use you'll get out of this.

Your buddies come over for a barbecue or a game-watching party. You show them your Super Sonic X10 and propose a friendly competition. Everybody tosses in a buck or two and takes five swings – fastest swing wins the pot. Next thing you know, it’s 3:00 a.m. and you’re on the tee in four hours.

I've never tried it, and who knows, maybe it would actually work. But I'm not spending my money on it.

You could have simply said, "I have no experience with this". I'm just curious and looking for valid comments from WRX-ers who may have actually tried it or know someone who has. Thanks.

Seems to me like he was just trying to make a joke. Considering that almost everything that is advertised on the golf Channel is complete garbage, I thought his post was pretty funny actually.

This product is almost an exact copy of the speedstick, which has some pretty horrible reviews. I would guess it will also not be that useful

I agree 100% with everyone's general opinion on infomercial products which is why I was wondering if anyone here may have actually tried it.

Someone in my golf group brought one to the practice area before the round yesterday and I took about five swings with it. It is currently priced at $119 which I think is a tad high. I would pay $99 for one.

It seems to be a good warm up tool to groove your swing and release point. I like the speed meter that shows your swing speed and the adjustable slider release mechanism. I am skeptical of the infomercial claims on the website. I think you are inclined to swing it more slowly to start with while you are loosening up. The swing speed gains that are claimed seem exaggerated. I started swinging at 88 mph and climbed to 99 mph after a couple of swings. That does not mean that the device improved my swing that much. It means that I loosened up. It does help with the release point on the swing and the adjustable slider accommodates many swing speeds and tempos.

Had one for a few weeks. OK for warming up. Swing speeds are with the device not a club, which tends to be higher. Biggest problem is the slider has a metal circle that hits the speed readout housing producing the number. After a few weeks the metal slider has stripped the finish off the graphite shaft exposing bare graphite that a few hundred swings later appears to add some friction and loss of swing speed. When they say do not hit the ground with it they mean it. Friend was really trying to make it work on the 10 setting, so swung really hard and did hit the grass (not ground) when he lost his balance. Result was no button, no front face, housing cracked in 3 places and battery case hanging by one screw.. Opinion after weeks use, does help with release impact point. Does not increase SS at all. Higher than club SS. Degraded in a short period of time due to graphite degradation. Bottom line interesting idea done with shoddy materials and no attention to durability. The impact with ground was not deep grass and was not solid ground. Needed a steel shaft and minimal shock protection for the readout. Even if he hadn’t hit the grass the constant impact of the bullet was going to crack the ultra thin readout case. Might be worth $29 but certainly not $100+. They also want you to believe 71 year old Peter Kostis is swinging it at 105 mph...on the infomercial...

I bought it, and used it. I really liked the swing tool, but the problem I had was that after about the 3rd day of use, the speedometer failed. This happened SIX times, with six different swing tools. The company gladly replaced it each time, but after six tries, it appears that they have an issue with the speedometer. Could still be used, but without the feedback from the speedometer, it's not nearly as good a swing tool. The speedometer never lasted long enough for me to be able to observe any improvement in my swing speed.........and my swing speed is about 90mph, so it shouldn't have been my power that caused the speedometer to fail each time. I asked for a refund, which they did provide.

I had the same problem with the digital speed readout. I was out of warranty but I still sent him an email asking them about it. 2 hours later I had a response requesting my address to send a new one. I asked how do I send my old one back. He said don't bother. He said mine was one of the original models and they have upgraded digital readouts. So far so good and I'm impressed with the great service.
