Footjoy Tour S

Recommended Posts

I was looking through the new issue of Golf Magazine (the style issue). On page 56, there is a picture of a new FJ shoe - the Tour S.

Does anyone know anything about this one?

There’s nothing about it on the FJ site, so I’m guessing it will be announced around the PGA show.

It's been a real slow burner with the Tour S. Kinda like the Pro S/L, Pro's seems to have been wearing them for a while but FJ seem to be releasing little information about them.

It's been discussed, briefly here -

So is the question if you want spikes, DNA vs. Tour S based on which toe you like?

I guess it’s tough to say at this point. Not enough info on the Tour S yet so we don’t really know all the features. Unless someone else has that info from a product book, etc.

Either way I would say it’s definitely at their high end with the DNA and Icons. I’m sure they will share some tech and have some things different.

Different platforms so different levels of stability. Tour S is supposed to be a much more stable shoe than DNA.

Interesting new pics. I would expect we will see more definitive info this week as I'm sure FJ will post about them from the PGA merch show.

I think the Helix with the blue look interesting as well.

I remain a fan of Dryjoys Tour, so I will be interested in seeing if there is anything new there. I still regret not getting the saddles with the blue gator print a couple of years ago. I keep hoping a pair in my size will show up on the Bay, but no luck to this point.

Does anyone know what the shoes are on the far right of the picture? The black with red laces and the red with black laces?

Dryjoys Tour fan as well but I would be surprised if there are any updates there - shown in the picture is the basic selection they currently have. Could always go the MyJoys route if you really want those navy blue saddles

I love the dryjoy tours in the winter and icons in the summer. Both those give me all the stability I need. I tried the DNA Helix and while very comfortable not as stable as I would like when I walk 18. Just got a pair of BOA Pro SL that could be the answer for everything in the summer or maybe the tour S but we will see. Footjoy seems to be out of control on shoes that hit and miss and I am a huge fan of the brand and the shoes

I am fairly sure that I saw them listed as more expensive that the DNA Helix but now that I am looking for it, I can't find a link to confirm that.

I do think it is weird that FJ has the 2/15 release date on these. Could clearly see them in pics of their booth at the PGA show.

I'm sure they have their reasons, but it was surprising to me.

I'm certainly interested in taking a look at these. It's not like I need any more golf shoes - I have a pair of Boost 360 2.0 and a pair of Helix that haven't been worn on the course yet - but I"m interested.

I must admit I was excited to see these.....but saw them at Golftown in Toronto....All I can say is that Footjoy has lost their minds!!!!!!! They must think that just because we golf, we have nothing but extra cash lying around to spend on boring, plain golf shoes...... $350 CDN + tax = $395.00 (Approximately $320 US).

In person they are not as nice as they are in pictures.... I'll tell you for that much money they better have technology in them made by Elon Musk.

100% sickened by Footjoy and their pricing on these.... Shoe made in China $22, retail price $320, sucker born every minute priceless.

Yes I am in a bad mood today :)

I have to agree with the issues with the colourways. It seems like they have to through some bright colour to get people to give them some attention.

When the original Hyperflex came out they really pushed that awful blue and lime green combo. When the Freestyles came out, they had the colours to match the frog. These aren't as bad as those two but still you would think they would have something a little more conservative.

Even the black with the white soles are a little off for me as well. Makes the sole stick out and look massive like a pair of running shoes as opposed to a pair of golf shoes.

I tried these on yesterday at Golf Galaxy. Nice shoes and nice idea but the fit wasn’t what I expected. Very firm in the heel, stiff and not nearly as comfortable out of the box as the Pro SL. Not sure it’s a walking shoe for me. Tour S means Tour Stability or Stable so I get it. If you are a big guy or power player who needs that wide base and wants max foundation to push off then these will probably work well for you.

Bad mood or not, you speak the truth.

Insanity on FJs part, to charge that much on a product such as that
