This “I’m a pro golfer, I should have my own logo” thing is getting ridiculous.

That’s a new staff bag, not the one on their site. Interesting to see numbers stamped on the soles and standard black ferrules, not the classic Hogan ones. Great irons and Ft. Worth Hi utility.

I think JR has a nice set-up & his logo is clean & simple

Pretty sure he is one of three current PGA tour players who have kept their cards for 20 straight years. Furyk and Lefty being the other two.

Wow, if I wasn’t a Callaway staffer I’d give those a try, beautiful irons... I love the all black ferrules, never a fan of the colored rings.

I wish they would just leave the loft off the soles, it makes a classy iron look cluttered IMO

That's the 3w I mentioned in the other thread but I goofed. It's obviously not a 3+. Asked his caddie at the Barclays in 2015 what the deal was with it and he said he couldn't pry it out of JJs hands. It was the only 3w he got along with. I was surprised to see him use something else last year. Glad to see it's back in the bag. He smoked it every time when I walked with him.

Seriously. Outside of a handful of guys on Tour (Phil and Tiger and VJ, possibly Ernie) I don't think hardly anyone else should be sporting a logo...

But it seems to be the trend du jour nowadays

I think little gold Hogan medallion looks cheap. IMO the irons would look much better without it.

It's not just unique to golf; a lot of players in the NBA have their own logo, even without a personal signature shoe

I'm coming in with the same topic as all the other comments on here -

1. No disrespect to JJ Henry but when JJ Henry has his own logo, you know that this pro golfer logo thing has gone too far!

I do understand what you’re saying. I was stating that his brand may not have traction right now and is just on his irons but maybe he is working on something and this is the start. As being “self employed” they have to promote themselves so I say swing for the fences and see what you can get out of while you can since it won’t last forever. JJ isn’t a big name at all so I see the question of what’s the point of him having a logo completely but that is my opinion on it. I don’t think he’ll be a household name by any means.

Palmer and Jack and Player invented logos. Tiger might have predated Sergio, but you’re right after Tiger I remember Sergio’s being the oldest.
