Is the 1857 line basically the reincarnation of the classics premiere?

These are ultra premium. Most items in the $700 range.

I was afraid to find out what they would cost. I loved the Classics unfortunately $700 shoes aren’t in my wheelhouse.

Classic Premiere's for 700 dollars? mama mia. I remember paying 200 dollars in 2002 and thinking that was pretty nuts. I also thought PXG would go under after 2 years and I was dead wrong, so maybe these will have a strong cult following.

I do remember however the quality of the classic premieres and I used two pairs for essentially 5 years before finally retiring them.

the mannequins for the standard line of apparel looks like they need to gain ~30lbs for the items to fit right. shame.

could anybody tell the fit on the old timey stuff? i'm not opposed to throwing down some coin on quality items, but $700 for golf shoes i'm going to stomp around in the gunch with just seems silly.

Saw a couple old FJ Classics on the Bay for around $450 so I'll pass on the 1857s but those pebble wingtips are the GOAT

Two noticeable differences were weight of the shoe and the smell of real leather. Classic.

We were playing around with how much a trunk box subscription would be.

Nothing better than the smell of a nice new baseball mitt and fine leather shoes.

Not to mention that a premium pair of leather golf shoes, properly broken in and taken care of, will last literally a life time.

Literally my thoughts exactly. Had to wear FJ in college. Great stuff. Loved the look but some of their stuff looks straight out of the 90's. Baggy with long sleeves. Which isn't necessarily bad, I love that retro look but it does inhibit the golf swing a little bit.

I can’t wait! Anybody know when these shoes will be available to order? Really like the button downs as well!

I still have five pair of classics dry premieres from 14-15 years ago just hanging on to for no reason. Currently wear custom Icon’s or Jordan’s.

I wonder how those new FJ shoes will be with the "cleat pods" - reminds me of the Adizeros from a few years ago.
