Low trajectory irons

I need all the help I can get!
Hi guys!
I was just wondering what the best head/shaft combination to promote the lowest possible ball flight for irons ? My driver swing speed is about 105 mph or in other words stiff flex. I am also about a 3 handicap. Any experience or suggestions for low trajectory irons would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, junior_golfer. :)

well..

moving to a blades will definitely lower your trajectory...

like mp-37 should be awesome!!

i have it, i love it!

gets u the penetrating ball flight that i love!

my ss is also about 105-110 and i hv s300s in them,,

btw, mp-33 wouldn't be too helpful because it is designed to launch the ball higher, whereas teh mp-37 is the opposite..

and good call on titleist 680s, they're sweet blades...

Not all blades have a low trajectory. For example, the Titleist 690.MBs had a very high trajectory, even with DGX-100, for me. You may wanna try the Titleist 680, Cleveland CG1, or Nike Blades w/ DGX-100. If those sticks don't work then put the ball 1" further back in your stance and practice those damn Tiger "stinger" swings (= abbreviated follow through). :)

The MP30 with a dynamic gold shaft is probably one of the lowets combos out there. I have had huge trouble keeping the ball down and these have really helped me

Mizuno MP-30's launch low, MP-37's also (I hear), but MP-33's definitely not (probably the highest hitting blades I've played). Not mentioned yet but well worth a look are Mizuno's old T-Zoid ProII's, which were designed to launch low in an effort to correct their predecessor's high (ballooning for some) trajectory. I say well worth a look as you can pick them up real cheap, and they're as solid as anything out there.

Some reasons for a high ball flight could be the clubs but alot of the time its the person hitting the ball. All of the club suggestions sould real good for a lower ball flight. There are things that you could do to lower the ball flight also.

i'm gonna agree with progolferch on this. i just went to get fitted for new shafts that would give me a lower trajectory. they had me hit a few balls on the range, then asked me to come inside and put me on the camera and saw, among a few other problems that the clubhead was ahead of my hands at impact, and therefore adding loft to the club. i'm working on what he told me to do, and although right now my consistency is out the window, i am hitting the ball lower, and with more spin.

if the swing is good and you are delofting the club at impact and still need help then defintely look at at x100 shafts, project x, or see a certified rifle club fitter about getting rifle blanks with the flex you need and have the kickpoints high and the tips stiff. irons, of course the nike blades, the mizunos, the titleist 690, but also think about the titleist 670, and the cleveland cg1

Taylor Made Rac MBs did it for me. I played Nike blades before and felt I was too high. I put in Project X shafts and was still too high. The Taylor Mades gave me a pro ball flight. If you want to try something different try PAX golf. They have parallel axis bent shafts which moves your hands further forward at setup. I love my set. These clubs will bring anyones ball flight down for sure. I can also control multiple trajectories easier than any club I have ever hit. These clubs are not for everone but they will help someone who fights the flip at impact.

I loved Cleveland TA1 blades...but the Titleist 670's, or the Nike forged blades are low. I'd also try some Project X shafts!
