Greatest Ever? (For Longhorn fans)

YES!! Drowning in my sorrows from Indy's loss I look back to Texas and remember, "hey in 2006 I'm 1-1". Maybe I'll watch the tape of the Rose Bowl now to cheer me up!! :)

As a Sooner fan, I gotta admit how happy I was to see the 'Horns beat USC (47 in a row will NEVER be touched...at least not in today's environment)...

Vince Young is an absolute freak of nature and will most likely set a new standard for mobile QBs in the NFL. At least he will probably be going to my team...the Titans. Steve McNair is a good one to learn from...

He is/was the inspirational leader on that team and they certainly deserve to be National Champs this year after the way they played.

And to all those naysayers out there...the Big 12 was down this year, huh? Well, how about 8 teams in bowl games and a 5-3 record? Pretty weak, right?

I agree 100%. The Big 12 will be even better next year. It really is amazing how many Sooner fans were rooting for Texas against USC. Then again, I was rooting for OU to beat Oregon.

I was rooting for OU as well just because of those AWFUL Oregon jerseys...yuck

As for Texas, I'm hoping this young kid Colt McCoy (Can you get a better name for a TEXAS QB???) can use the returning players to basically just play O.K.

With Jamal Charles, Selvin Young, Melton and Taylor in the backfield theres no worries there, tons of depth.

Pittman, Sweed, and Cosby make a nice recieving core hopefully we have a TE who can preform like Dave Thomas did this year.

Obviously the defense will be top notch again.

Can't wait for the Red River showdown!!!

I wanted OU to beat Oregon because people talked all year that Texas wasn't a great team because the Big 12 was weak. Then OU went out and beat a team that was crying because they were left out of the BCS. Pac 10- most overrated conference imo.

I was pulling for all the Big 12 teams for the same reason. I was so tired of hearing the media say yes Texas was undefeated, BUT the Big 12 conference was weak this year. Like TNSooner said all they did was win 5 out of 8 bowl games. Texas Tech almost made it 6 out of 8, but that Alabama field goal barely squeaked over.

I will admit that the only Big 12 bowl game I didn't pull for was against TCU. They had such a great season, I wanted to see them go out on a win.

Next year will definitely be interesting and who ever is the quarterback is going to have a steep learning curve.
