Poipu $300, Princeville $200, Hokualu $200.

I’ll try to play one of these for sure......

Any thing under $100?

I played Wailua Municipal Golf Course two times last time I was in Kauai. I’m not one to pay 300 dollars for a round especially when I didn’t even have my own sticks. Paid the 35 bucks for the premium clubs at Wailua and they had both Cleveland and Nike blade sets. Perfect condition matching sets which surprised me. I also played twilight because it doesn’t get dark until late PM. Google some pics and check the link below.

Yeah, just put Wailua on the list. Trying to decide whether or not to take my own sticks. Mrs. Rainshadow says play at least one maybe two high end courses. Hike or surf morning and golf afternoons.

Got a 12 noon time at Princeville Makai on 4/26. Pretty good price through the concierge $185

Wife says to definitely play one more day, so I’ll see if I can get Poipu or Hokualua for a decent price.

Spent 10 days on Kauai at the end of March and stayed out in Princeville. Only made time for one day of golf and played Wailua, which was a GREAT deal.

We had an 11am tee time. The course was in good shape, maybe only a few greens with some brown spots. Really enjoyable round with VERY nice staff all around, ocean views, and very laid back. A few folks in slippers and bare feet. Musubi at the turn! Lots of ducks and chickens.

Looks like construction of the Prince clubhouse is coming along. Our condo was just off the Makai course and it looked in great shape, just didn't make time to play although we did walk out onto it a few full moon nights over to the cliff for the views.

Did you happen to hear any word about the Prince course reopening? I'll be in Kauai in June and would love to play it again.

Rumor last year was that it is SUPPOSED to re-open this year (2018), but based on how the clubhouse looks, I wouldn't expect to see it open any time soon.

Here's some info about Kauai after the recent massive storm that caused flooding and landslides.

http://www.govtech.com/em/disaster/Kauai-After-the-Storm-No-Power-No-Gas-And-Scrambling-to-Fund-Recovery-Efforts.html

A lot of courses aerate in the April/May timeframe.

Thanks.

Played Princeville Makai today. Still wet, very little roll and lots of mud balls. Steady 15 mph Trades an pretty rainy the last 4 holes

Managed an 87 ...46/41. Never gat a feel for the greens, so had 4 three putts!

Beautiful course. Wind made it really tough without any roll.

Playing Puakea tomorrow, if this front moves through.

That's good considering the conditions and I hope that you got to play Puakea. I just returned from the Big Island and both Mauna Lani courses and Hualalai were in great shape as the Kohala Coast gets the least amount of rain.
