Wondering if anyone else had the faces cave on their M1 Irons?? If so what did TM replace them with under warranty??

    They will replace with M1s only. If they do not have M1s in stock they will replace with the equivalent following years model.

    They should without issue. I had a friend who kept having issues with heads flying off and TM replaced his set without any questions asked. From what I gather most of the OEMs are great with covering defects.

    They will replace it no problem. This was a big issue in the m1&2 irons, right around the the face slots. The new Ribcor in the M3 & 4 irons was designed to address this very issue.

    Interesting. I knew folks had issues with the RSi1 and RSi2 irons and you would think the design would've improved. With that being said, TM should take care of them for you.

    They will replace with M1s only. If they do not have M1s in stock they will replace with the equivalent following years model.

    Sadly my experience with TM is the complete opposite. Rubbish company and non existent service for the customer.

    I sincerely hope the Poster here gets his problem sorted.

    I had a face cave in on a 17 m2 3w on the first swing. Took it to golf galaxy who sent it to TM. TM has great service and replaced it and even allowed me to have a hzrdus red out in since it was a no upcharge shaft on the replacement.

    I had RSi2s, the 4, 5 and 6 irons all had caved faces. They wanted to send me M2 replacements, but insisted on a full set. I didn’t want half RSI and half M2. I got a full set of M2 and sent back the original RSi2s.

    good to know, I’m definitely pushing for a full set, I don’t want a mix and match

    I have an issue with the speed slot on my 5 and 6 irons right now. I believe they are starting to cave in. If I run my finger across them, they don't feel smooth, I feel ridges, like it's drooping down. My M1s were a warranty replacement for the RSi2s last summer. Is this a prelude to the face caving?

    Sure is, my 5 and 6 iron are the same and the 4 and 7 are worse to the point where you can see the face caving

    I had them replace my RSi2 with P-770's(no-slots). Could't be happier. Also put whatever shafts I wanted, went with Modus 3 120's. TM has GREAT CS

    Nice to hear but you are likely going to have the same problem. Check them regularly. When it happens again request irons without face slots.



    Hideous design flaw that they refuse to abandon. Its REALLY strange they don’t give up on it since this been a continuous regular problem since the face slots were introduced. There has been thread after thread about it here. Every single used set I’ve seen on the rack at GG and Golfsmith before they closed had at least a few irons in the set that looked like yours.

    Maybe I’m wrong but I was under the impression that the “rib-cor” design was partly implemented to fight the face slot cave ins, among other benefits they claim.

    Little update on my end. Went to the PGA Tour Super Store near me and they confirmed it was a sign of the face starting to cave. Called up Taylormade and explained my situation and TM said they would build me a new set of M3s to my specs of the M1s I was playing and ship out as soon as possible. I understand that this technology has been a bust with all of these problems, but the customer service that TM has shown its consumers has been top notch. Thanks to Bece for this thread and a big thanks to TM and Ben at PGATSS.

    had same situation with M2s and M1s... sent back to TaylorMade with no issues getting them replaced.

    Welp my M3s are already showing signs of caving after 3 range sessions. Guess ribcor hasn't fixed anything.

    TMAG Has never had an issue replacing a damaged/defective club for me, due to a time crunch situation. they even went as far as they knew I was leaving on a golf trip, had a new driver waiting at my hotel same specs as previous driver replaced before I sent the damaged driver back.



    (Not saying being familiar with a few people at TM helped; but have heard of them going above and beyond for others who play a lot of their equipment as well.)



    I know my signature doesn't reflect....but played a lot of TM woods up to SLDR days (last irons were first TP MC's. Still have some of their newer woods. Just prefer Titleist woods at moment....bottom line customer service is up there with best of them

    Glad to see they fixed their crappy CS.... My 1st set of new Irons were LCG Irons back in 1998 and I had two rifle shafts break at the head 2 months after I bought them and they charged me to Re-shaft them. I paid them and immediately sold them and have never purchased a Taylor Made product since. I told the CS Rep that they can get the Re-shaft fee but they lost a customer for life and I'm a man of my word.

    JDOK how long have you had them for? What do the faces look like? I received a set as a warranty replacement and this makes me nervous. Haven’t been able to get out and hit them bc of the snow here in NJ.
