Mizuno MX200's were super forgiving. Callaway Razr XF were crazy easy to hit although some may question if they are truly forged or not. They felt nice to me

OP, don't get hung up on 'forged' clubs. Ping i200 and iBlades are very soft feeling. But to answer your question, AP2s, MP53 and MP5s are some forgiving forged for me.

I had a set of Callaway X14 Pro series years ago, they were decent clubs. More recently I had a set of AP2's you could hit those things anywhere on the face and it just went.

I swapped my PING G25 for the 2013 JPX EZ Forged about a year ago. Absolutely love them. They are just as easy to hit as my PINGs.

The 716 AP2 are really good but the Z745 I think are a smidge better in terms of forgiveness.

AP2 is forged? I thought they are partly forged — the ‘chassis’ is forged, which has nothing to do with feel, and then the club itself is multi-material with a steel face attached to it. And the OEM makes players think it is forged by writing ‘forged’ only on the portion of the club that is forged. It is a marketing play because they know so many players get hung up on forged vs cast.

They sure don’t seem forged in the classic sense, as you would experience with a muscleback or true head forged from a single billet of steel.

Tom Wishon's latest forged irons, the 565MC forged irons, are one of the best forged iron heads I've ever hit, and they are very forgiving. Give yourself a treat. Find a fitter that has Wishon stuff and give them a try. You can probably have a set custom built for you for a lot less than a set of big box OEM's and you will have a great set of irons.

AP2 has a forged face... in fact, the only parts that aren't forged are some insets in the cavity and the tungsten weights. Even you 965s that are coming are multi-material (tungsten toe weight in longer irons)

Also, the chassis forging absolutely makes irons softer. Go hit the Cally Apex or your 565 4-iron and you will feel that.

I agree, however, that one piece forgings are overall the softest.

If someone is curious re getting these, I am considering selling my 565MC heads.

Myself, I am a different bird - I find that MB clubs are the most forgiving (whether forged or cast) ... I am currently dialling in a better shaft for myself and the best results, regardless of shaft, is always with a muscle-back head. I get better trajectory and spin numbers as well as ball flight and dispersion with MB heads over any of the forged or non-forged more forgiving heads.
