TP Black Copper Collection

These new TP Black Cooper Collection putters look very nice! Does anyone know when they will be released? The Ardmore 3L with 12 degree of toe hang looks perfect!

If you look at the 5th last comment in this thread, you’ll see that someone posted saying that a Taylormade rep mentioned that they will be released in April.

I am aware that this copper collection is in the TP range but does this range have the same insert as the platinum TP range? It's unclear to me as the catalogue page clearly says that it has a firm insert. I don't recall ever seeing that the platinum TP range had a firm insert.

Same aluminum insert as the normal TP line, just with a different anodized finished (if the pre-release pics are accurate).

I love the look of these putters but I really wish they'd give us a couple of milled ones, no insert.

I'm curious why? If the Pure Roll grooves have a measurable difference in how quickly the ball gets into true roll, why wouldn't you want that? And please don't say "feel" because there's nothing inherent about a fully milled face that makes it feel any better than a putter with an insert. All "feel" can be modified by tuning the acoustic response off the face, either with different milling depths or groove shape.

The insert on the retail putters should be the same as in the last TP line, just colored red. A firm aluminum insert, with a resin type material in the grooves. I personally love the insert, feels like the old AGSI to me- which is close to a milled type feel and sound (again, just my personal opinion). I've played my spider with this insert for a over a year and it has held up just fine.

To best of my knowledge, only Rory's proto has the red colored surlyn insert that plays just like the spider platnum with the black insert. Lot softer feel and a very dull sound. The softer inserts are prone to small dents, but as long as you take care of them and keep a cover on it should last.

My bad, read the article that said it had a slant neck. Just assumed it had a mid slant neck, not a flow neck type. What I mean I guess is the neck inserted into the shaft as opposed to the shaft into the neck like a plumber neck is.

I am pretty interested in these putters. I would like to hit one before they come available on th classifieds...lol.

Wanted to test out the Soto vs. Juno. So I ordered both. I thought. I did it while drunk. Ended up with 2 Juno's and 2 soto. Damn! Juno looks to ship soon, Soto at the end of May. Crazy.

I see them on PGA Superstore site, but not GG. Are these available at the local GG stores yet?

My Mullen arrived today, the feel seems to be between my red spider and my black spider, over all I'm impressed for the $$$.

Sweet. I’m looking at the Soto however the Mullen does have my attention too as I have an odyssey 3t that I bought last year, like the looks but haven’t rolled it yet and the Mullen would be very similar. Can wait!

Its rather comical that the company who bought TM is known for their logistics and a simply putter with next to no buzz is backordered by 5-6weeks the moment it hits the market.

They do look appealing for sure, i want to get my hands on one and see how they feel and roll. I love the color.

I would not even be surprised if they built an exact replica spec wise of his Scotty putter.

Went to the PGA Superstore in Irvine, and they didn't have any TP Collection putters, no matter the color.

i went to my local Edwin Watts and they didn't have any either. I may hit up the Golf Galaxy and see if they have them
