Still seems strange that Titleist didn't renew Dufner's contract but they've got Poulter on staff still. I know his contract likely isn't due for another 9 months but there isn't much value with IJP in terms of exposure, wins etc.

Quite likely he marketing team at Titleist see good value in Poulter outside of results. He’s got a big presence on social media and from that Titleist get a lot of brand exposure.

I personally think the 915 headcovers looked better and were easier to take off and put back on than the newer Titleist headcovers.

I had been wondering about that for the past few weeks. He seemed to turn up to Abu Dhabi with the 915 headcovers and it was a weird one. I totally see where he is coming from. I think in particular the lack of a sock (so to speak) and the staff bag that Titleist took out last year does seem to create more potential for shafts to rub and get worn.

On another note...those grips! I had them a few years ago now. I was used to using cord grips, pretty much always have but I put them on my irons a few years ago now and my hands still haven't recovered.

7.0 shafts?? Very firm for a swingspeed of around 115 max? He must like the feeling of a firm heavier shaft, or maybe helps keep the flight down?

If I still had all of mine, I would as well...not a big fan of 917 covers. 915’s have a little more shaft protection as well, and just look better in my opinion

***wasnt he an “iliac guy” in past? I may be way off, they offer no shaft protection either if that’s his concern
