Ping Vault 2.0

Nixhex524Nixhex524 ClubWRX Posts: 4,015 ClubWRX
Anyone rolling any of these? I think these are some of the nicest looking putters out right now and the price is pretty good, too. Tried a ZB and a Dale in the store and was really impressed with the feel off the face. Just looking for some real world feedback if there is any. TIA

To me these are the best looking putters Ping has come out with. Haven’t had the chance to roll one. I’ll try one out this weekend.

I picked up a copper B60 and really like it. It rolls the ball well and the weight, balance is great.

Did you demo any other finishes? Does the copper feel softer at all? The ZB platinum felt softer than the Dale stealth I tried but I was putting better with the Dale...

I expected to like the B60 the best, but the ZB was the star. If I was to get one, it would be a copper ZB.

I rolled a Sigma like the 1W the other day and the insert/face milling felt way too hard for me... the Vault 2.0 is much nicer.

I had a similar experience. I expected to like the Dale Anser the most. It felt incredible but the ZB felt just that little bit better.

After about 2 years, I’m finally getting over the fact that I should just go with what looks good to my eye, feels good and inspires confidence instead of sticking to exactly what my fitting suggested.

I love the sight dot on the top line of the ZB and it doesn’t bother me that it’s suited for a strong arc. Given the choice, I would go for a platinum ZB.

I picked up a ZB in the shop yesterday and thought it was incredible. In all honesty, I didn't even know the ZB existed until I picked it up in the shop. What is the history of this model/shape?

It goes back to the Redwood line at least and is obviously a take on a TP Mills design.

I see where it sort of looks like a modern one. Didn't know where the "ZB" name came from, if maybe it was supposed to be based on a zing? I don't really know much about older model ping putters so I didn't know if it was some sort of throwback. Sure is a nice looking stick.

Does anyone know how much you can do with Ping WRX? For example could you get the anser head with the ZB neck and no sightline?

I didn't try another finish in the B60. Really liked the color and how it felt. I liked the ZB too.

I love my new Dale Answer vault 2.0. I own 2 Scotty’s a Golo 5r and a Futura 6m and I must say that the ping putter has taken over my bag. The feel is amazing. I never thought that I would use a blade style putter, but this has changed my opinion. I added a super stroke flatso 1.0 because I did not like the feel of the p61 grip it came with. If you try one make sure you have your wallet with you because you are not gonna want to leave it behind.

So after receiving the Club Cameron email today about the further delays in the kit, I decided to cancel and pick this bad boy up... I tried the Voss today, as well as the ZB again. The Voss felt really nice, too, but I love the look of the DA the best... Looking forward to getting it out.... If they had the copper I might have grabbed it but I tend to putt better with darker putters anyway.

I say no, you will not regret it. I don’t regret buying it. It now has a permanent home in my bag. Money wise I don’t think it’s so expensive to the point we’re the money wouldn’t be worth it. It’s not cheap, but it will make you putt better, and if you don’t putt better at least you’ll look better putting.

Pull the trigger!!!! You only live once. Hahahaha!!!! If you don’t and it becomes hard to get you will regret it!!! Just kidding. It is a really nice putter. I think the only thing that will take the place of this putter is a Scotty 009M in carbon finish... one can dream.

I mark my ball with a black line. This finish and my ball with a black line make it so much easier to line up my putts. At least that is what I have found.

    That's their "vault" logo.

According to the Morton Golf Sales website, you can order the following sight line configurations:

1 sight line on the flange

1 sight line on the flange and 1 sight line on the top rail

1 sight line on the top rail

2 sight lines on the flange ball length apart

2 sight lines on the flange ball length apart and 1 sight line on the top rail < the opposite of what you want

2 sight lines on the flange close together

2 sight lines on the flange close together and 1 sight line on the top rail

My guess is if you call Morton's to see if "2 sight lines on the top rail ball length apart and 1 sight line on the flange" is possible, they could make it happen...

Not much talk recently about these but today I finally managed to spend a good hour rolling one of these (Platinum Anser) and I am very impressed!

I have been rotating with a TM Spider Black (DJ Model) and a 1990's Ping Anser Nickel

Really not getting on with the Spider but really like the Anser but thought it was worth looking at recent tech as occasionally I get a bit "heely" with the Anser but none of that with the Vault Anser and teh feel was just superb (definitely softer and more solid than my Nickel Pong)

Also had a play around with a Newport 3 Scotty and really liked the way it swings, so am gonna have to decide between the two and which finish I go for (really like the copper but also the black)

Even though I can get 20% off either putter through a contact, the Scotty is still a bit on the expensive side
