Any one still gaming a odyssey #9 Putter?

Went back to a #9 and never putted better. I have a XG (some xg's have a hard insert) with softer insert, it has 3 dots on each side of the insert. I also picked up a couple of #9's with a milled face...

I pulled the shaft and installed a black shaft.

Yup, just fits my eye . Have a pro type tour milled , white hot tour, and a Nike method mod 60 which is the Nike version.

Have an Odyssey metal x milled it #9 (shot the round of my life with this in the bag). Also have 2 custom Bettinardi bb34's which is same head shape. Love this style!

Yes, the Odyssey White Hot Pro #9. The head shape, the black finish, the white alignment marks, and the insert are perfect for me.

Still lovin' my #9 ht White Damascus. Haven't touched anything else since I got it 3 years ago, been close but love the look and roll.

I have a #9 White Hot Pro as my backup for when my Seemore goes cold. I think seeing the whole blade and the heavy toe hang keeps the stroke honest. I use it for about 10% of my rounds. Its a great putter.

While the 9 is not exactly an easy putter to putt with, I think players can get really dialed in with them.

Black Series i #9 gets regular rotation in my bag. Like I posted on another thread, it is an opposite of my other main gamer, a Milled RSX V-line Fang (face balanced).

I hate that putter. Always used blades like zing2 but had some trouble with consistency on alignment. Went to large mallet and loved the consistency but struggled a bit with speed control. Figured the 9 would split the difference and be best of both worlds. It was the worst of both worlds.

I have a Monte Carlo in the bag now.

I've primarily used a #9 for the last 10 years or so. Shot my career round with it. Have gone through about 5 different ones. Currently have the ProType and a Metal X Milled. Sent the ProType to be "restored" and asked them to change the weight. Never liked the way it came back so it's been in the closet. I love the Metal X Milled though. It has a great feel.

But I've recently restored an old Newport and have been putting with it. I really like that it doesn't have any sight line or dot. Seems to free me up when I putt.

Odyssey O'Works #9 in the bag currently. Also rotate a Rife Abaco and Nike Method 003.

o-works #9. always thought i wasn't a good enough putter to use a 9, but gave one a shot because i liked the look and ended the year putting as good as ever. just seemed to roll it where i was looking more often, especially on those short putts.

I keep coming back to my MXM Versa 9. It's 33", 360g and 74* and I've added a sight dot. Great look, feel and roll.

Odyssey white damascus 9HT works perfect for me

I use a RX #9, 34”, I usually use a 35” but 34” felt good with the claw grip I’ve been using. I use a superstroke countercore flatso 2”. Best putter I’ve had in years. Just fits my eye right now. I also have a Canadian version Metal X Milled versa. She’s still in the plastic. I came from #7’s, have about 5 different versions. Really wanted to like them but never found the consistency that I wanted. I may try out an O works in the 9 and see how it rolls.

That shape works the best for me. Putted an old #9 white hot something or other from about 2006-a few years ago; then moved briefly to a face balanced mallet before a ping Shea H & most recently a lajosi bayzie hsm. Definitely not for everyone but works for me.

The black Protype might go back in the bag.

Do what I did...go to the store and trial EVERY SINGLE PUTTER in the store. Don't look at price, name brand, length, etc. Just putt over and over, keep switching putters after 10 or so putts. I did this and settled on a lightweight ODYSSEY O-WORKS RED MARXMAN S PUTTER, 34 inch....when I SWORE I needed a 35" head-heavy putter. Then you have to hit the putting green for as long, or longer than range time. Otherwise it's all for naught.

I really want to try a #9 but it violates one of my rules for putters...you must be able to pick up the ball with the putter...like I can with my Odyssey RSX001...

You can pick up the ball with the back of the #9 on most models. The newest one you can't but most others you can

After I wrote that post, I found a White Hot #9....I like the way it aligns, but I have trouble controlling speed. It has not replaced my blade yet.

Anyone have a leftie they want to sell? I am looking for one.

White hot xg #9 fitted 33" super stroke flatso 1.0 lead taped heavily with a spry evo carbon fiber insert. Don't see it ever being replaced

Put an o'works #9 with a garsen ultimate grip in the bag for this year and I have been putting better than ever. Just able to start the ball on line way more consistently.
