Tensei CK Blue vs Aldila Tour Green/Blue

I tried to search but didn't see much. How do these shafts compare?

I played an Aldila NV (http://www.aldila.com/nv-2/) in my 905R and loved it. I'm not even sure that's what it is called, but looking to get a similar feel in my shaft now. I want to try something other than the Tensei CK Blue in my F7+ but not sure what. Would the Tour Green or Blue seem better in y'all's opinion based off of the issues I'm experiencing below?

I was fit for the Tensei CK Blue last year but it has always felt a little boardy to me and makes me swing harder (i.e. poorly, overswing and OTT) trying to get it to load.

I also think my swing speed may have dropped off a lot this year for whatever reason. When I was working with the fitter last April, he was clocking me between 110-113mph. I was on Trackman a week ago and was seeing 100-105. I'm getting a really low ball flight with the Tensei and not alot of carry, and I think it could be related to the Tensei just being too stiff for me to load with the drop off in speed I've experienced.

Low ball flight could also be from some swing change I'm trying to make. I used to have a pretty open club face at impact, which probably added alot of loft and spin. I've been working to fix this and have experienced a drop in driver distance (not other clubs) and this super low ball flight.

I played the NV and now play a Tour Green. Something about the profile that really works for me. Definitely, recommend it. Haven't hit the Tour Blue, but was thinking of trying it out for a fairway wood. I find Diamana whiteboard shafts also have similar feels to the Tour Green but a little stiffer.

Interested in this as well. I played the OG Blueboard for years, mostly in the Titleist 9xx series of drivers. Back then I liked the NV better in fairway woods than drivers. I'm currently playing a Tour Green in both an Epic SZ driver and 915 3w and love both of those set ups. Still I get curious about what the Tensei Blue would be like, more so in the Epic than the 915. Totally happy with the 3w set up, but if I could squeeze a few more yards or a slightly tighter dispersion or slightly better feel out of the driver......

Hate to tinker with what works but you know how it goes.....

Driver s/s is around 108-110 for me, slightly quick tempo, slightly early release, 1 handicap, normally hit a slight draw with the SZ/Tour Green, miss is a slight block.

I switched from the Rogue Silver (similar to Tour Green) to the Kuro Kage XT, best feeling shaft I've ever played. I would recommend you look into it over the CK Blue.

Funny you should mention it, but early last year I picked up both a Rogue Silver (MS110 65g) and a KK XT (silver 60g) and neither of them could quite beat out the Tour Green. I liked them both, but the KK XT gave me bigger misses, and the Rogue was a total wash performance wise but I preferred the feel of the Tour Green over it--slightly livelier, at least to me.

I take it you liked them both over the CK Blue? If that's the case maybe I won't bother with picking one up. Mind if I ask what your swing is like?

FYI the Tour Blue and Tour Green will feel even more boardy than the CK Blue. I have played all three (including the CK Pro Blue as well, but I dont think that is the shaft you are talking about?)

I would recommend just keep working on your swing, a shaft isnt going to change the flight much.

I'm thinking my swing is definitely part of it, since I seem to have lost a noticeable amount of speed since last year (for whatever reason). But with my 905R/NV combo I had a pretty high, spinny shot. With the F7+/CK Blue combo I have very low traj/spin shots. Even last year when I had speed. Could be I am just used to seeing something different for 10 years, but I feel like I've always been a little low traj/spin with the F7+/Tensei combo

CK blue, or CK Pro Blue? If you are looking at the Pro models, definitely check out the White and Orange (even though they are quite pricey.)

My swing is around 110-116, aggressive tempo, but honestly I have played X-Flex, TX-flex and even stiff flex in some shafts depending on the feel I wanted. I like the stiffer tip in the Kuro XT. I also tried a Rogue Black tour issue with the I/O at the bottom, and that is a great shaft in my opinion if you can find one on Ebay.

Have you looked into the newer Aldila 2kxv shafts? Check one of them out and see how it feels to you http://www.aldila.com/nv-2kxv-blue-2/

I've looked at them online and read descriptions. Haven't test any of these in person. I may order a couple used and then just return or sell what I don't want. Annoying having to find them with Cobra tips because I don't know how to switch that stuff out.

Keep an eye out for those shafts from this Ebay seller:

NV, tour green, and rogue silver are all very similar profile wise.

I currently have the tour blue and tensei blue non pro in two similar fairways. I personally like the tour blue much much more than the tensei. I believe they are similar profiles but the blue seems to have the perfect combination of balance, kick, feel, and stability for my swing.

I would try the tour blue over the green or silver rogue if you find the tensei blue stiff. The green or silver will be more stiff than the tensei.
