Can’t stop buying shoes!

I don’t know what’s gotten into me lately. I’ve always bought couple-three pairs each year but I’ve already purchased four pairs for this season that’s hasn’t even started yet!!! Emails coming in left and right and I just can’t stop opening the browser and looking at them. I’m blaming it on the bad winter. What’s your typical season buy?

This season I have 9 pairs to choose from.

I live in Canada so during the winter the only way to scratch the itch is buy shoes haha my personal preference is icon MyJoys... i have got 4 new pairs already with one more on order!

My wife makes fun of me because I have a better shoe & clothing selection for golf than I do for work or casual..

It's a sickness indeed my friend.

Last year it was 3 pairs. This year I’m not sure yet. I know for sure a pair of GFore/Peter Millar Brogue Galivanters will be in my lineup as will a pair of FJ DNA Helix outside of that I’m not sure yet. Probably a pair of my joys mixed in there as well.

it's nice to have options.... cold weather shoes, warm weather shoes, sunny vs rainy, etc... As long as you use them regularly I don't see an issue.

FI Premieres - Wet/ rain/ mud

FI Flex - Every day walkers

Chukkas - Warm walkers

Zoom 90s - weekend shoes

Lunar Command - Weekend Shoes

I can't imagine having more than this though... i play 180 days a year and can't imagine even being able to fit more shoes into the rotation

I don't buy a new pair of golf shoes until the other pair have worn out. I take care of them too, so they last a long time. I have a few pair so I can rotate them. I play a lot of golf, so I will wear one pair one day, and a different pair the next.

The last pair I purchased was in the fall of 2016.

An all time fave. I had the limited black/red ones and wish I didn't get rid of them. The year after was amazing too.

Most of the times, I can hold off on purchasing.

However, when the Burlington $20 sale was happening, I did go a little crazy :)

You can never have too many, ESPECIALLY when $159 shoes sell for $19.99. Don’t think. BUY.

Where you getting these emails from? A “guy I know” might have little to no willpower and be interested in some new kicks.

I have 2 pairs of Adizero Tours that are a few years old now (white and black) but they've been great shoes.

Then bought a pair of Climacool (the mesh ones) but like an idiot bought them too small and just ran with it thinking they might stretch out a bit (they didn't).

So I figured it was time to get something new and bought a pair of Puma Ignite Spikeless and did the opposite by buying a .5 size too big....Apparently there's a full size difference between the Climacools and Ignites, both supposed to be size 10.

End of last year Marshall's had FI Premieres on for $75 CAD so jumped on those and they are awesome! Hard to get on at first but very comfortable and stable.

Fast forward to this spring (winter still here in Calgary) and I've bought a pair of Nike Roshe's and have a pair of Skechers Elite V.3 Approach on the way from Amazon...so I guess that's 7 pairs in total...yikes...I didn't realize that until I wrote it all down haha. But really it's only 5 if I drop to 2 that don't fit.

Anybody got a pair of the FJ Superlight XPs? Looking for a light weight breathable summer spikeless.

I'm pretty much the same as you. It took me a few years to find a brand and model that fit me well but when I did that's what I stuck with. I have a pair in black, brown, white and grey. I don't wear the same pair back to back days and let them dry thoroughly if they get damp. Mine are a spikless model and there isn't any appreciable wear on the nubs after 4yrs of use on two of the pair.

Forgive me for I have sinned....Ecco Biom Hybrid 3's are on the way....couldn't resist 20% off because ECCOS NEVER GO ON SALE, right, am I right???

If anybody has any extra that are size 13's, let me know. Id be happy to buy them off of you

Shoes are the one thing I can't bring myself to buy.

Just so expensive. I'd rather have a collection of 50 polos I spent $10-$15 each on. I've purchased 1 pair of shoes in the past year. I think I own 4 pairs of golf shoes from the past 7 years or so.

I told myself no more, but then I found some 360 boosts in wide, in a colorway I'd been liking, for sub $70. No brainer, I would be remiss if I didn't buy those.

I can't help myself either. I'm also a 100 round per year guy.

Finding ridiculous deals online lately. Brand new, old models, with different/unique color ways for $50-70. Usually $180.

I now have 8 different pairs in the garage. 5-6 in a normal rotation.

When you figure it out let me know.

I went a little overboard last year, 6 or 7 pair (I don't quite remember now, Adidas sample sale($30) accounted for all, but, 2 pair.). The Pure 360 LTD for $40, to me was a heck of a deal(not part of the sample sale, just a closeout at a local golf course). This year, when I get the itch, I go try on a pair of the ones I bought last year. I think I am well stocked for the next couple of years.

Learned thru the years to stay with a brand that are comfy and have good fit. (FJ for this walker).

Buy a few pair at a time, as others that wisely rotate round by round.

Visited a local pro-shop sell off late last fall that had several FJ's of the same style, different colors, at a nice discount.

Should last a long while with good care, though I do replace the laces now and then.
