Creamer To Play Precept Golf Balls

Another day… another post! Thanks for stopping by. The pre-Orlando buzz is really starting up now and there are all sorts of little odds and ends to get to.

Paula Creamer has signed a golf ball deal with Bridgestone/Precept Golf. Creamer will tee it up this year with a prototype Precept golf ball… a ball that she helped develop. TaylorMade Golf recently signed Creamer to an equipment deal but she has been using a few different balls as of late. I’m pretty high on Paula Creamer… I think she’s the real deal and could be Annika’s biggest challenger this year.

I had a brief chat with my Cleveland guy today. He is off to meetings very soon and expects to see the new HiBore driver then. He also mentioned that we could see a redesigned TA6 too. Makes sense to me… the TA6 is a few years old and could use a makeover. Cleveland needs to make sure they keep the price the same though… the TA6 is a hit because of it’s value. I’ll keep you updated.

I had a chance to talk to the folks over at Trion:Z just before Christmas and they’ll be at the Orlando PGA Show to debut their new products. These things look pretty cool… they combine the idea of ion therapy with a funky, modern design. Edwin Watts tried the product in their holiday catalog and customers loved them. I think SirPutts and I might have to get some and let everyone know how they work… wow… the things we’ll do for all of you! In the meantime… check out the Trion:Z website for more information.

We had a question about the new Miura CB-301 irons the other day. Watch for some more information on these in the next week or so. I’ve seen the CB-301 and it looks great… it could be the nicest cavity backed iron I’ve ever seen. We’ll keep you posted!

I talked a bit about the Rife Project X High Launch iron shafts last week and they’ve already got a win on the PGA Tour. David Toms used the High Launch shafts at the Sony Open over the weekend. These shafts incorporate all of the technologies found in the original Project X shafts but the longer tip parallel section creates a higher launch angle.

Chris over at TSG says it may be the new X-01 ball with a Precept name on it.....

That's a definite possibility....there was a thread about a month ago where Creamer was in Asia for an outing, and had tourstage balls in her bag.

i'm suprised because it seemed like the premium balls were going to be under the bridgestone name, and non-premium were going to precept since the u-tri line was stopped. the u-tri balls were the best deal out there. great balls (tour, distance or spin).
