Kohler Dining

Doing our annual trip to Kohler for 2 nights and Erin for 1.

I remember reading somewhere about a great restaurant where the pros usually go when they play Straits.

Anyone have any idea what I’m referring to or just good ideas for a group of 12?

Not sure what restaurant you are referring to. Every time there, we go to Fay's Pizza. There is a t-shirt hung on the wall that is signed by Ricky Fowler and Bubba Watson.

My wife and I had a real nice Italian meal at Lino on the river in downtown Sheboygan.

Trattoria Stefano is what I think i was looking for. Not sure its best for a group of 12 guys?

Stefano is probably what you are talking about as it is usually the first place that comes up when you look up dining in Sheboygan.

I'm a big fan of The Duke of Devon in Sheboygan. I think when we were in Kohler last summer with about a group of 10 they sat us outside in their little garden area. http://www.dukeofdevonpub.com/

If you guys are looking to have a few good craft beers, head over to 8th Street Ale House.....they have an excellent slection of house brews and also many, many good guest beers.

May not help with "dining", but figured it wouldn't hurt to give a suggestion. Enjoy the trip!

3 Sheeps Brewing Company in Sheboygan is a great place for drinks after - although it won't necessarily satisfy the dining part.

The Black Pig in downtown Sheboygan, the Horse and Plow at the American Club, Prohibition Bistro on the riverfront are also all solid choices. The Duke of Devon as mentioned before is a great spot, as is Parker John's BBQ and Pizza which is just a few doors down is great. Firehouse Pizza in Sheboygan Falls is top notch also.

You're going to Wisconsin so you gotta consider a fish fry. Nothing fancy but Petek's in Sheboygan is a little hole in the wall with the best fish fry. Plus, the owner's name is Stosh.

Best one in the area is Schwarz's in St. Anna (about a 30-minute drive from the Straits, it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere). Not sure what days of the week you'll be here, as it's closed Monday and Tuesday. They don't take reservations and on Fridays the line will be out the door for people trying to get in. Great prime rib and awesome Old Fashioneds.

Millhomme Supper Club in Kiel is another top spot (a bit closer than Schwarz's). As for Sheboygan, Rupp's Downtown is probably your best choice.
