Has anyone tried them yet? Are the better or worse than the regular golf Prism lenses?

Have them for the crossrange frame. They are definitely darker than the regular golf prizm and darkness wise are closer to some of the lighter iridium lens tints. For me, they are a more all around lens as the regular prizm golf lenses were a bit too bright when it was sunny, but as always YMMV. An added bonus is that they are much less see through from the outside. Your eyes are still visible from the outside but not nearly as much as with the regular prizm golf. They are my go to for anything less than full sun in which case i use the prizm deep water or sapphire iridium which are two of my other favorites.

Thanks for the info. I’m thinking about going with these in the new Targetline.

I picked them up as well and have been very happpy with them so far. I never liked the Prizm golf lens and had been using the prizm daily lens instead but the dark golf lens is a nice improvement imo. Better contrast than the daily but dark enough that’s my eyes don’t feel strained from the sunlight after a full day outside. I work them last Saturday for 36 holes plus a tennis match and couldn’t have been happier with the results.

I have to wear a hat and still struggle with the normal version in high light days. They are great for morning rounds but I am intrigued by the darker. For reference I have lighter eyes and am very light sensitive though

Seems like a waist, when a lense like Prizm field works well for golf and is darker then prizm golf but still provides the contrast.

They should be available. I just received (last Tuesday) the dark golf prizm in rx in the Gauge 8 frame. I played my first rounds with them this past week. Excellent. There may be occasions in which they will be almost to dark but I’ve got my old ones for that. Those occasions may be early morning, cloudy/rainy and late evening.

My only problem with the pizm lenses is how visible my eyes are through the lenses. That's purely cosmetic, as far as how they perform I think they're great.

    Interesting I love Oakley 41 pairs of glasses never mind goggles;

Own golf, field, road for my 2 pairs of Flak 2.0s but doubt I would buy these as have the mentioned 2 lenses for golfing.

If I was to buy brand new from scratch then I would buy the black. Having said that not a massive fan of Prizm Black Snow as it is the least versatile of all the ski lenses.

As far as I know he had the regular PRIZM lenses. This season he's actually not wearing Oakley's anymore. Switched to Torch shortly before the Masters.

I've been wearing the regular Oakley prizm golf lenses in a pair of half jackets for a while now. They have been great but I've wondered for a while whether the dark version would suit me better given the conditions I often play in.

So I ponied up for a replacement set of lenses in the prizm dark golf with a prescription in them. Direct from Oakley.

After my round today all I can say is wow I'm super impressed with these lenses. Incredibly clear and superb contrast. It was actually an overcast day and I kept them on the whole round. Highly recommended.

I bought the Dark Golf lenses for my Flak Beta’s & couldn’t be happier. Much better than the regular Prizm golf lens for me anyway. Made a huge difference.

I've had the Targetline with the golf prizm dark since last summer. Originally bought them just for golf, but have ended up using them as my primary non-water sport sunglasses due to the fact that they are one of the best all-around tints I've found. Dark enough for sunny days, but not too dark for when it gets overcast.

Yes, that’s how I purchased mine. It’s a little limited on what you can buy them for though.

The prizm golf dark are darker than prizm golf. Maybe not dark compared to some sunglass lenses, but darker than regular prizm golf.

I get the name but the line is very 'bright". A simple bronze brown lens gives the same result or better in contrast while also protecting the eyes a little.

Four years ago after I got my new prescription I bought the regular Prism Golf and the 1/2 jacket 2.0 XL's, paid big bucks for R/X Oakley's. Two years ago with a new prescription, I tried the Oakley Prism "Field" lens used mainly for baseball and some golf, the R/X replacement len's were $400.00 Cdn. Didn't really like them, they weren't all that great for reading greens. In May after a new prescription, I decided to go with the Prism "Dark Golf" at another $400.00 Cdn. just for the lenses, but these are the best lenses I have ever had for golf, they arn't all that dark but on a sunny bright day you notice the difference, no squinting nor watery eye nor eye strain and the bonus is I can see the breaks and contours on the greens, even finding a ball in the tall grass or bush is easier, people can't believe that I can see and find their lost balls. When it's time to replace them, I'll be going back to the Dark Prism golf, no hesitation.

I have the targetlines with prizm dark. I'll echo that they aren't dark at all. Probably my favorite pair of golf sunglasses although to be honest i've only had one other pair of golf-specific shades (fast jackets with g30 lenses)

You can order them through several companies. I work for Luxottica so really all you have to do is go into Lenscrafters and pick out the frame and tell them you wanna order the dark golf lenses.
