Cult classic 3 woods/underrated 3 woods

I have been using an RBZ stage 2 tour (14.5) for years until 2 weeks ago I caved the face in. I am struggling to find something to replace it. I have tried a 917F3, Adams xtd ti, TEE ex9 and Cally epic. I am very tempted to put the 07 burner tp or Nike SQ2 back in the bag and forget about anything newer.

My long winded question actually is... Has anyone made a "cult classic" fairway wood like the 07 burner tp, TEE cb2 or SQ2 recently? Other than what is listed above I haven't tried anything newer than the rbz stage 2.

Steelhead Plus. One of the best feeling woods ever made. It has an insanely deep face but can still elevate off the deck.

i still play a nike sq2 3 wood and occasionally (depending on course and my swing) will put the old nike t-60 3 wood in the bag. the sq2 is a great all around wood for me from deck or from tee. the t-60 is a cannon off the tee, but a little tougher to hit off the deck, but if you hit it, watch out.

another favorite that i unfortunately sold and regret - tm v-steel.

I should have added v-steel to the list as well. I still have a vsteel T/S that I play from time to time.

I need to look into the new steelhead plus. I was thinking I might have missed out on something in the last 6 years or so.

915 Fd 18* Tour ad di 8x, I know it’s not a 3 wood but the 915 Fd is an awesome metal wood that was over shadowed by other releases at the time and this combo with a d3 sw is a par 5 killer for me

Couldn’t agree more. 3 wood still in my bag and two years ago I found a matching 5 wood brand new. Been sitting in a back of a shop.

Adams Tight Lies. I’ve played both the original and the last version. They may not be the longest but they are so easy to hit off the tee or the deck.

Ping 2014 Rapture 13°. I wished more OEM's did something like that more often. Now it's basically all JDM doing full Ti heads with deep faces on those lofts at $500-700/head.

Still use the CB2. Testing out the CBX this week, but it doesnt have the sound/feedback that the early TEE had.

I need to look into ping equipment. I have never played a ping club except the rapture V2 driver years ago. I am eyeing a g15 3 wood on ebay right now. Thanks and keep them coming

Cleveland 588 3 wood. Nobody spoke about it, nobody really played it but it was just as long as the major brands.

I love g15 and baffler rail f and played both extensively. both are awesomely versatile woods. 2 main reasons. easy to elevate from deck (can hold green), and gap nicely between driver and 4i in my set. modern enough, but not so hot as to compete with driver. also not low spin wonders that fall out of the sky when not caught perfectly. baffler rail f 3w and 5w still in bag.

The Callaway X Hot Pro is a monster. Kicked my Vsteel right out of the bag.

Agree on CB4. I have had a 3 wood in the bag for about 7 years and added the 5 wood a year ago.

Going back to my Xhot 3 wood, non pro. I haven't been able to find anything as easy or as long off the deck. Also, even though it sits closed to my eye, it doesn't seem to want to hook. This spot in the bag is a beeotch.
