Cleveland Launcher HB Review (Giveaway Winner)

I was lucky enough to win one of the five Cleveland Launcher HB drivers from this giveaway back in April.

This is an initial review and I'll add to it more when I'm able.

Looks are all subjective so I'm not really going to delve into that.

I will say that I did not mind the sound as much as some of the other reviews that I've seen.

It is not as bad as what I remember from the original Launcher.

I am not really the target market for this driver as my driver swing is about 110 mph.

Current setup is an M1 430 with an X flex.

I hit the Cleveland a couple of times but with the light shaft just felt out of control.

Before I got any data on my Skytrak, I got rained out.

However, my dad is solidly in the market group for this driver.

Mid 60's, 13 handicap index, lost some speed over the years.

Most of the time he does not even hit driver anymore because he can't elevate it.

Tends to hit a 5 hybrid off most tees about 190 on a decent strike.

I was able to grab some data before the rain started. More to come once he gets it on the course but initial data looks good.

I would ignore the offline column. He started to line up straight with the mat instead of the Skytrak.

I'll really have to try it out more. I only hit about 8 shots before the rain started.

Forgiveness seemed okay but I'm not sure about distance.

The shaft was just felt incredibly light compared to what I'm used to and I felt like I had no idea where the clubhead was.

My gut reaction is that with our swing speeds, this is not the best fitting driver.

Yes, it certainly does look that way.

But of course, we played in our 9 hole league last night (he did not play well) and he left it in the trunk and still hit the R7.

Maybe next time I'll be able to convince him to bring it out.
