Callaway Apex MB Raw release?

With the release of the MD4 in raw finish, does anyone know if there are plans to release the Apex MB in raw finish in the U.S.? I know this is probably a long shot. Just curious.

I believe 2,000 sets were already released...

I know this because I have one.

There was a set on the BST a couple of days ago for around $1200-$1400 plus they pop up on ebay occasionally.

I genuinely think the MD4 raw release was a test to see how the Raw Apex MB’s could sell stateside and I don’t really think the MD4 Raw’s have been selling that great. I love my set but I’m yet to see anyone else who’s ordered a set locally.

I think the best thing about MD4 Raw is the fact that they’re priced = to chrome and black. As they should be.

A friend of mine and PGA teaching pro was recently at Callaway's facility for a fitting school was shown a set of raw MBs. He told them (correctly) that I really wanted a set and was upset they weren't coming to retail. The folks in California told him for the right price anything can happen with regard to raw MBs. I'm guessing if you really want raw MBs, you can call your local pro and it could be arranged for a price. Large-scale retail release isn't going to happen.

If Callaway sold raw MBs stateside instead of the (hideous) chrome version, I probably would have bought those instead of the P730s. The raw version is much better IMHO. Better look, better feel. The overly reflective chrome totally ruined these for me.

And yet I couldn't even get lighter heads when I worked for them...
