Is there not a thread on this yet? Anyone having luck streaming at all? NCAA website says you can stream on Golf channel website but I'm not finding it

Golf Channel coverage does not start until Monday afternoon.

I figured that out unfortunately- the NCAA website made it seem like you could stream all rounds. That’s disappointing...

Top 15 teams have made the cut. After tomorrows round, we'll have eight for the team match play.

Duke, Oklahoma St and Texas Tech are looking good for a top 8 finish.

#7 Florida is the most notable team to miss the top 15 cut.

The individual champion will also be crowned tomorrow.

Scottie Scheffler's potential schedule...

Monday: NCAA stroke play final round

Tuesday: NCAA team match play

Wednesday: NCAA team match play in Oklahoma

Thursday: Memorial Tournament 1st round

Friday: Memorial 2nd round

Saturday: Memorial 3rd round

Sunday: Memorial final round

Monday: US Open qualifier in Columbus

I'd be taking a very relaxing break after that. Brutal schedule!

My goodness, if Brock Everett makes it out on tour they will definitely have to add a shot clock.

College golfers are painfully slow all around ... it’s just brutal

AJGA, for whom I referee a couple of times a year, hands them off to D1 ready, willing, and able to play in 4:15. I see some of the very same players a couple of years later at NCAA events creeping around in 5:15. Sometimes on days in the Spring and the Autumn when we play 36 holes, the only way they get a move on is the onset of darkness. I've never seen pace-of-play enforced at an NCAA event. :swoon:

I believe there were 6 pace-of-play penalties on Saturday.

At the AJGA events, are the kids on their own on the course or is there a parent/coach with them on a regular basis?

Parents can follow them around but I think it would have to be a caddie if you want advice. I remember getting a green/yellow/red depending on how we were doing on pace.

I enjoyed watching it last night, that course looks like a good test. One thing I noticed was a lot of unique looking golf swings.

That's refreshing. I do a couple of NCAA invitationals each year and there's no effort beyond cajoling.

Caddies are not permitted. Parents are very closely watched to see that no advice is offered. Spectators usually remain on the cart paths but are always allowed (even encouraged) to help search for wayward golf balls. AJGA staff are all over the place and keep it moving. The AJGA system is impressive (There may be those who would say "oppressive.). :)

That's kind of what I suspected. Safe to say a big, big part of the slowdown when they reach this stage is overabundance of coaching that is constantly taking place?

That's what I see. And, in the few events I do, it's not all coaches all the time. A few seem to micromanage, much like we've seen on TV these last two weeks. That can turn the player's allotted 40 seconds into a minute and 40 seconds in a flash.

Imo that’s the problem. What good does it do to try and speed up a kid who knows they’re A. Playing 36 today and have nothing else to do when they finish , played 18 yesterday after traveling , and will finish the remaining round in the AM and start another 18 holes. Guys take a long time for 36 holes because they’ve just already mentally prepared for it to take that long and just wanna stay in a rhythm. There’s no rush to hit your shot on number 12 when you realize you still have 24 holes left on your day

Damn my gators totally fell apart. OKS looking good on their home course. must add some pressure vs knowing the course...

Funny enough, had A&M not folded in the last few holes and closed the deal (they had the lead early and late), OSU may not have made it as the #1 seed with home course advantage (agreed, it has to be a TON of pressure added). Bottom line, it's been really fun to watch the last few days. And sadly, my Illini are in the same boat as your Gators, so we can both dream of the "what if's?" I guess.

I didn't particularly like that Everett's coach went up and stood on the spot where he was supposed to hit the layup so that Brock could get a yardage with the laser. OMG, that kind of thing needs to stop. I never got that kind of help in HS.

This isn’t exactly HS either so you’re reasoning has ZERO merit.
