I'm pretty sure I made the point of him holding the cavs hostage by signing those 1 and 1 deals but was called a lebron hater.

For all his greatness his contribution to the Cavs salary cap **** and the departure of kyrie is his doing. Cavs got a championship out of it but he left them with nothing the 2nd time around.

He left them with a championship trophy in their case, which is more than any other Cleveland athlete (in any sport) has done in 60+ years.

He left them with drafts pick by doing the sign and trade with the heat the first time.

For a town he consider being part of all his youth he could have done better the 2nd time around.

The letter to return home was just a pr stunt to give him a good excuse of doing what he does best. He’s a mercenary. It’s always at his convenience.

These posts are amusing.Keep drinking the hahahahatorade.

Lebron delivered a championship, plus 3 more finals appearances. About 40 more home playoff games than they would have had without him. Because he was capped at the per-player max, he was one of the best values in sports.

Wasn't the sign and trade only so Miami could keep his bird rights? It was more to help LeBron than anything right?

How’s it amusing. Just stating what happened. I acknowledge he brought them a championship. But he also held them hostage with his 1 and 1 deals and signing players that have no rights getting those type of deals.

He’s a mercenary. And that going home letter is a PR stunt.

“Two first-round picks, that must be used starting in 2013 and ending by 2017

2012 second-round pick Miami received from New Orleans

Future second-round pick Heat acquired from Oklahoma City

Cleveland can also swap first round picks with the Heat in 2012

A large trade exception($15 million or so) that the Cavs must use in trades for one calendar year.”

It didn’t do much for Cavs management but it was better than nothing.

"held them hostage" by making them relevant and providing $50M+ annually in surplus value

    So sad for the Cavs.

Lebron only gave them 4 years of sellouts and finals appearances. Now they have to tank like everyone else.

Lmao. I ain’t even defending Gilbert. He deserved it. But all the talk about how he was coming home is actually fake. He came home bc he saw wade body failing. He came home because Cavs had a rising star in kyrie and a chance to grab Kevin Love when at the time was considered a coup for Cleveland. And when the party was over he jumps ship again. Just pointing out what he did.

Let me guess. You think he didn’t do any of that.

Just enough to get 1st or 2nd. They already have the regular season record. They straight chasing another ring. Years of deep playoff runs takes a toll out after awhile.
  • tocinotocino Members Posts: 2,252 ✭✭
The warriors won’t burn themselves out to try and win 70+ wins anymore. For all the talk about Boogie coming there he likely won’t even play until January or February so his addition won’t add any more or less to their win total. I’d say they should be somewhere in the mid-60’s

Rumors of DeRozan for Kawhi. Jeff would loose it if that went through.

I don't like it. I'd rather go 55-27 with Derozan. Demar is the best Raptor ever and seems to really love Toronto....i ride with him until the end!

What young Players and assets do you think Tor would also be giving up?

It would be interesting to see the crowd reaction in Toronto if that happened though. I'm not sure it would go over well.....Derozan is beloved, he is the first homegrown guy to develop into an allstar and re-sign. He has said all the right things, has talked about Toronto being his second home etc...And he has earned his right to say he is the best player in franchise history.

It's kind of like a Curry/Durant thing. The Raptors are Demar's team more than Lowry's or anyone else. He's been there since he was a raw prospect from USC who advanced scouts called a chucker, he was there through the dismal Rudy **** years.

I want Demar to finish his career as a Raptor more than i want them to make the finals or contend. He has a chance to the first real Raptor through and through

I don't know, i don't want to think about it....I don't want them to trade Demar.

But the best young prospect on the Raptors is probably Pascal Siakam. Many people believe if he develops a jumpshot he could really be something. Zach Lowe is on record as saying he thinks he could one day be an allstar

Would love to see IT have a solid season, dude had the worst luck. Plays with a ton of heart and I wish him the best.

Was discussing with my buddy today who is the greatest dunker all time? I said Vince Carter because he could leap out of the gym like no one I’ve ever seen in my life time. I remember the 2000 dunk contest and just being floored as a 10 year old. He said Jordan, but I don’t agree.
