2018 Srixon Irons - better pictures

Found some actual pictures of the new srixon irons. I like the z785's. I've been playing the 745's since they came out...Thoughts?

Wish more irons had the V-Sole - other than that Srixon's have always been lackluster in the look department.

Not a big fan of the look compared to the 45s and 65s. 7 series is okay, but I like the simple look of the 5 series from previous generations.

I agree with the 5 series, I'm not a huge fan of the new ones. But I think the 785 look so much better than the 765. 765 didn't have a balanced look to them IMO. But 745's will be forever hard to beat. I do really like the 85s understated logos compared to the giant Z's

agree with the V sole, very underrated design. club plays thinner through the turf because of it.

If we're talking about forged CB's not a ton they can really do. It great everyone has their own taste, but I'm curious to know what Forged CB's you think are better looking than the 745's?

Juts gave my brother in law my 565's- anxiously waiting to see the 585's in person

I like the 785 better than the 765, but all the lines have been sexy so far... The 745s could possibly be some of the best irons ever made. I do wish they'd go back to the more squared off toe, though. Round looks ok but looks like a lot of other irons from above. The only other thing I have wanted Srixon to do with the 7 series is to just thin the top line out a little bit more than what the 745s have.... They would have been perfect with a little less chunk up top.

Any word on a 9 series? I'm about to return some PXGs for credit and just might wait to pick up some shiny new Srixons....

745s still remain their best... swing and a miss. They look like an old Mizuno offering (MP-30s or 59s maybe?) I truly don't think they will ever be able to top them.

Iconic with the likes of the J15CB, TM Rac Smoked MB, 2013 X-Forged, MP-53, and VR Pro Blades.

I prefer the look of the x65 series to the x85. The new x85 look more cluttered, more visuals going on - especially the 585.

Hard to say if the new x85s are really an improvement over the prior generation, but visually - the older x65 are damn sexy.

I have not seen the x45 in person though.

Definitely 588 TT look to the 585's. Very busy but if they perform people might get past that fact.

Funny you say that, I agree to an extent. I played the 588 Tour Concepts (smaller head versions) prior to my 745's. They were an amazing set of irons (still have them in my closet)

I actually like the look of the z585 ?

I had the TT's for a few years. The looks didn't thrill me but they best every iron I tested at the time so went along with them. I just think when consumers are looking for minimalist, sharp looking irons the design of the 585's are a step backwards in my opinion.

I like the look of the 65 series. When you think of the physics behind weighting and forgiveness, the 65 series makes the most sense with the weight placed toward the outside/toe of the iron. Understand that putting weight in the center can provide a more solid feel possibly, but I think the 65 series is the best blend of looks and physics. The new 85 series seems like they need to come out with another iron design to keep up with the competition and settled on mixing the two highly successful offerings they have released over the last 4 years because they are hard pressed to improve on those awesome designs.

I'm set with my 565's for a while.

Is it just me, or does that picture make the 585 look like it has less offset than the 785? I'm sure it's not the case, but it looks that way in the picture.

I have to agree. First set of irons that I've EVER considered getting a backup set for when it's time to replace. I don't want to even think about trying to find something that's:

1. As playable with the best sole design ever (the closest is the original J33 Combos)
   
2. Amazing feel
   
3. Amazing forgiveness in such a small head.

Lots of Srixon staffers stay with 745 when 765 came out, would be interesting if they switch this time or not

wish they would change up the lofts a little bit this time. Srixon makes great clubs but 44* pitching wedge... come on.

I think that the 785's look absolutely awesome! To me they look like a total combination of the 745's and 765's, how could that be bad? Not quite as rounded at the toe as the 765, but not quite as square as the 745's, they seem to be right in between. Personally, I don't know why anyone would turn their nose up at these. I bet more tour pros will bag these than the 765's, plus there probably won't be as many 745 heads left for them to use anymore going into next season. They will have a 985 blade, but I think it will be a filtered release kind of like they did with the 945's meaning they will show up in tour bags first, and then probably release them to the public at retail later on. Maybe in a limited run of some sort, but I don't know that for fact.
