What if Mizuno offered a black colorway?

Wanted some feedback on this idea.

If Mizuno offered their st180 and gt180 lines in black rather than blue, do you think more people would buy them?

Yes

Our local Golf Galaxy does not stock Mizuno woods, so it doesn't matter what color they are.

Yea, they need to either lose the blue or offer it as an option. The CLK hybrids are black and look amazing.

Why do people say colorway? Not enough to say color?

The new releases later this year will be dark like the CLK line. Mizuno listened to people griping about the blue color.

I tried it as I am not that sensitive to that stuff but it didn't work that well for me. I definitely think some golfers look at it and say no way and move on.

I actually quite like blue,

I saw some orange cobras, that was probably where i would draw the line.

The blue color is my favorite color for a driver. Unfortunately, I couldn’t quite get ideal performance from them

The only time I recall Mizuno departing from the Mizzy Blue color was JPX Forged. The orange Mizunos. They were probably scarred by that dismal failure (aesthetic fail not a functional fail) and have vowed to remain true to the conservative but reliably elegant blue.

Just bought an ST180 this week. I Love blue, but I imagine many don’t. It’s certainly a costly mistake for them. Even a dark blue would go over better as previously mentioned.

Getting an adapter to put on my favorite KKDC 70TX Friday. Well see how that goes. I adore my 917 so I doubt it will make it into the bag, but you Never know.

Thought you were talking about irons when I saw the topic so I had to jump in. If they made their irons blue like they did their wedges, they might lose a bit of respect but black would be legit!

I like the blue, but I can see where it's a deal breaker for some. IIRC somebody had their blue Mizuno driver done in black in the Continental thread, and it looked pretty sharp.

off topic herby but what happened to those custom irons you had made?

Black would help but the ST would still need a tweak in impact sound for me to invest. Personally, I found the ST too shrill.

Still have them. Debating on selling to fund the next project. I'll probably hold on to them and just wait a bit more on the next project...a putter.
