September 2018 Golf Trip - Where To Go?

A few friends and I are planning a golf trip for the 3rd week of September but we are not sure where to go. I figured I would come to the experts to ask for advice on where some good places to travel would be. We were originally planning Phoenix, but after doing some research and talking to friends in that area, we found out most courses will be over seeding from mid-September to October'ish. We would hate to plan a trip and come to find out all of the courses we play are in the process of over seeding / aeration / etc...

Where would you suggest?

I'm itching to get up to Wisconsin again soon to play. Weather should be great in September and there's tons of good golf.

I am in Lincoln, NE and we can play golf up until Mid to late November, then its just cold. I wasn't sure how the weather would be anywhere north of here. Also wasn't sure what the golf course maintenance schedules were like in various locations.

Tyler... you are overthinking it! Wild Horse, Bayside, Awarii Dunes, Prairie Club, Tatanka. No need to leave The Good Life, but if you want to go someplace for the sake of going than Branson and Hot Springs (AR) have nice little setups with multiple courses in a tight local within driving distance.

I’m trying to think off the beaten path, obviously Palm Springs, Hilton Head, etc will always get lots of run
Driver: Ping G400 (Tour AD IZ)
3w: Ping G400 SFT (Tour AD Di)
    3H: Exotics EX10 19* (Tour AD DI)
3i: Cobra King Utility 21* (Motore Speeder TS)
    4-P: Bridgestone J40 CB (Steelfiber 110)
Wedges: 51* Edel TRP, 55* Edel DVR, 60* Vokey Links K
    Putter: Ping Nome TR

What is your budge level? And travel restrictions?

I would avoid all hot weather locations (AZ, TX, FL, etc) in September. And all high altitude (CO, Lake Tahoe, etc) because you can get some really cold weather quickly.

    Here are some suggestions;

RTJones trail in Alabama. Very inexpensive.

Pebble Beach. Expensive, but world class and usually good weather.

The Carolinas have perfect weather in September/October.

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. I really appreciate it. I'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg since it is kind of a spur of the moment trip with just a few friends (who are very $ tight). I have been looking at RTJ in Alabama, Virginia Beach an Myrtle Beach.

If you like golfing in 70* weather then I'd look at MN, WI, or MI. Go south during the winter months.

An out of the box idea, and not sure where home base is for you, is the Lake Chelan, WA area (between Seattle and Spokane). Some great golf including Gamble Sands. Weather would be 75 and perfect in the high desert.
