This is quite possibly the least masculine thing I have bore witness to in quite a while.

The fact that this actually has a name, "scripting", blows my mind.

What kind of threads would you like to see in the 'Golf Style and Accessories' Forum?

A lot of us like to see what the guys are wearing; new colorways and styles for the majors are great!

Right! Honestly, Rahm is obviously a stocky frame and more dad bad than washboard abs, why do they insist on drawing attention to his chest area?!

Here's the deal, I used to peruse a plethora of forums while at work. At my current workplace they have the interwebs filter cranked down nice and tight but Wrx slips through the cracks. My reading material is somewhat limited and I ventured over here to this sub-forum. I kind of liked reading up on yardage books and new companies.

    BUT

I honestly had no idea that grown men had their clothes picked out for them a week ahead of time.

BTW - What happens if the temps dictate they wear a jacket? Is it already laid out the night before?

When athletes are paid millions of dollars to wear those clothes and companies want to get all the advertising and marketing mileage out of those relationships as they can, I would think it should come as no surprise that these outfits are picked out weeks ahead of time.

Jackets are often part of the scripting when weather is likely to be a factor

And other grown men critique the clothes a week before they're worn.

A stupid, pompous, incorrectly used name at that - “scripting”. Give me a break. It’s a clothing selection. Almost as dumb as the misuse of the word “protocol”...

This may blow your mind thinking about clothes picked a week or more ahead of time....

They’re actually picked a full season ahead of time. Someone like DJ already has seen renderings of what he’ll wear in next years masters, for example

I wish my game was good enough that I could forgo a day of practice to sit down with my inner circle and decide which pants will fung sheui best with my shirt and headcovers. These guys are good.

I could be the only guy in the world that buys his clothes based on what is on the sale rack that fits and picks his shirt based on what I have clean at the time. The fact that my shorts don't contribute to swamp a&& is just a bonus.

Serious question here, at what handicap or skill level is it permissable for a guy to script his weekend gold duds? I feel like a 14 shouldn't be more concerned with how he looks on the course as much as how his swing looks. I mean I want to go full Ricky orange but don't think my game will allow it.

Are the guys on the Hooters tour scripting? (Is the Hooters tour still a thing?)

Every player on every tour scripts their clothes for the week. They can’t travel with their entire closet.
